D & D Interior Painting

I recommend D & D Interior Painting extremely highly! Declan and his crew painted the interior of my entire condo before we moved in and did a phenomenal job. Leading up to the project, Declan was super responsive and helpful. During the estimate, he walked me through what the process would entail and then followed up with a quick and reasonable quote. Throughout the job, he and his crew were extremely professional, communicative, and thorough. The job was done quicker than expected and came in at the exact price he quoted. And the paint looks amazing! I've already gotten several complements from friends and family on what a great job they did. Overall fantastic experience working with D & D - I highly recommend them!

The kitchen cabinets were what I was most concerned about and needed someone very skilled because there were a lot of them, and they need to be done right to look like new cabinets. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the work and the crew. They were AMAZING and I am so happy with our home! They were incredibly meticulous with their work. The house looks like a whole new house. And they were an absolute pleasure to work with and interact with while they were in our house for over two weeks. It was actually sad to see them go. I would and will hire them again!!

Declan and his team had no problem handling my unique condo and high ceilings. His team arrived right on time to prep and begin. They covered everything and minimized any dust plus cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. He helped me make decisions about painting the trim which colors and overall was not trying to upsell me but did advise me about what he recommended. Recommendations I gladly accepted. This wasn't a rag tag crew of potty-mouthed laborers, they were all courteous and professional and did a great job! No smoke breaks or cigarette butts all over my patio afterwards either. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the job they did, the price I paid, and how professional they were. The price was the price we agreed upon and there were no upcharges or changes. Thanks Declan, my place looks awesome!

After the work was performed, our general contractor died suddenly. Declan Flannigan began sending us threatening letters, demanding payment for his work over and above what he had already paid the general contractor. He was apparently in some sort of feud with the general's widow. I am stunned at this awful, unprofessional behavior. I will never work with him again.

At the end of our project, Chris Williams died suddenly. Declan Flannagan began to send us threatening letters demanding payment of the amount we had already paid Williams under the general contract. He apparently had some kind of feud going on with Chris Williams' widow. I am stunned at the horrifying bad behavior here and advise to never to do business with this company.

It went really well. They were prompt and even came back to do touch ups. I would recommend.

They showed up on time, they cleaned up each day before leaving and finished the job when promised.

We were very impressed with them..  They responded quickly to all phone contacts, completion of estimates, questions and requests.  they arrived exactly on time each day and work was completed on time.  The project was two weeks and they cleaned up after their work each day and after completion beautifully.  The ceilings, walls and trim came out beautiful.  We have a big old Victorian with the old plaster walls and it looks beautiful now.  I would not hesitate to work with D&D again.

I got 3 quotes to complete the work. 
All were priced relatively the same. The professionalism and attention to detail during the quote stood out in my mind and was the reason why I chose D&D. 

Declan began by setting up a time with me to do a complete walk-through of the condo.  He detailed, step-by-step,  the work his team would complete, and any potential spots of difficulty.    When complete, he committed to a time to deliver the quote.

The quote had detailed all we had covered through the walk-through.  It included cost for materials and labor.

The work included:
Preparing the walls
--Putty any holes in the walls
--A baseline sanding using 150 grit sandpaper  (that is the type of detail the quote included!)
--covering appropriate areas with drop cloths.  Since it was a new condo it was empty (no furniture).  My hardwood floors were just finished, so I was a bit sensitive that no damage come to them :)

Painting
--2 coats of quality paint  (benjamin moore) in each room
--Areas covered were the walls, ceilings, trim boards, and doors
--The paint the team suggested for the bathroom was more resistant to moisture.

Timing
--The work took approx 2.5 days, and he worked with me to find the most appropriate date range.
--He and his team showed up on schedule, kept me aware of all progress.  Had no problem with me 'checking in'.
--Answered any of my questions as they came up.  
--I felt included in the job.  

Completion/Payment
When the job was finished, I had a complete walk-through to see if all expectations were met prior to providing ANY payment. 


Overall the job was agreed upon, delivered on time, and the outcome was spectacular.    I was really happy with the job when completed, and would highly recommend the services of D&D Interior Paining. 

They did a great job. Attention to detail, neat, and professional. They were in our house for three days and half the time I almost forgot they were upstairs painting, as I went about my own chores. They were completely trustworthy and respectful. I was very satisfied with our choice.

Declan and his team were very professional and punctual. He was easy to work with and made sure we were happy with his work.

They spent a great deal of time initially in preparing the kitchen, carefully moving what could be moved, then covering all exposed surfaces.  The quality of their work and their efficiency in performing it was remarkable.   Their cleanup was thorough, and did not require any further effort on my part.  We heartily recommend them.

As noted above, Declan and his crew repaired wall patches that had been badly done by a  prior contractor and then painted. They repaired plaster that was water-damaged with a dry-wall patch. When we first decided to have the interior painted we started with one small area and got multiple estimates, of which Declan's was lowest (he came recommended by the realtor who sold us the home, built in 1880). Our experience with that relatively limited job was so positive that as we decided to do more work, we stuck with Declan. The estimates are fair, he uses high quality materials, adapts easily to changing circumstances (e.g. our decision to postpone painting so we could have insulation blown in) and is unfailingly pleasant, patient and friendly.

When the downstairs work was finished we realized that an area rug which had been rolled up had been dripped on. Fortunately this was on the back of the rug, but it was one we had on a 2-week trial and had decided to return. Declan immediately offered to deduct the cost of the rug from what we still owed him; and though this was ultimately unnecessary because we kept the rug, it's a sign of his integrity.

Great!  Declan & team did a great job and were a pleasure to work with.

The experience was phenomenal from the initial contact where the phone was answered quickly and a meeting was set up at my convenience which I find exceedingly rare. During the meeting for the estimate Declan presented a professional color book for me to review and within 24 hours I had received an official quotation in detail. The dates for the job were established and again Declan and his team were incredibly punctual to the point of sitting in my driveway when they showed up 15 minutes early for each day they worked the job.   The job was done exactly on time and to perfection.   Everyone was extremely respectful of both me and my home. This is a clear indication of you get what you pay for.   While the price of the job was higher than other's had quoted I made the right choice and it was worth every penny.    If you want a phenomenal experience you have found the right people in D&D.   I will definitely use them again.
