Excel Painting

Jose and his crew have now painted our house twice—quite a few years apart—their work stands the test of time. The work is precise and high quality; he started the job when he said he would; his crew worked straight through and finished up within the time expected; and they were neat, well organized, and a pleasure to have around.

I don't have enough words to say how wonderful Jose Torres and his crew were. I have never had a painter show such care, attention, and professionalism at an extremely affordable price. Here's what was so great: 1. Professionalism. Jose had to deal with an extremely difficult situation not related to the actual painting, and he did it with calmness, professionalism, and patience. He was honest, did what he said he would do, and much more, all with good humor and integrity. 2. Quality of work. His crew did an outstanding job, and the house looks fantastic. 3. Safety of work re: lead paint. Jose and his crew took extraordinary care to deal with any possible problems with lead paint, with meticulous use of drop-cloths, plastic sheeting over windows and the driveway, and a Hepa vacuum cleaner that was used constantly. 4. Great work, reasonable price. I heard that when one of the most high-end (and expensive!) Brookline painting contractors can't do a job, they recommend Jose. Now I know why.

It was very easy and quick to schedule the work to be done.  Jose was very responsive, answering my questions promptly and completely.  I purchased the 3 painters for 8 hours deal for $800 on Angie's list.  When Jose arrived on the first day, he said he thought he could get the job done in one day, but it took two full days to get the job done.  After the first day, only the prep work and some of the trim was done.  On the second day, it took the crew all day to complete the job.  I have to say that the job was really well done, the rooms look great.  My only disappointment was that I wasn't informed in advance that the job was going to cost double what I expected to pay.  I had had the rooms painted in the past and those painters only took one full day to do the work, so it was a surprise to me how long it took.
I would be interested in hiring this company again -  since I was satisfied with the quality of the work -  but in the future, I would look to purchase painting services on a flat rate basis than on an hourly basis.

Very well.  I called, spoke with Jose and he gave me a ball park estimate as he had been to my home before (they painted an interior room a two summers ago and it still looks brand new).  He then came out a day or two later, and had official look and gave me a solid price.  The guys started the next day and were done within the week.  It looks great, we are very pleased.
