Jay was great about getting back to me. He explained that his car was in the shop but offered to come over on his bicycle if it was an emergency. It wasn't. He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly and said the charge was $5. My husband and I insisted he get paid for at least a minimum of 1 hour and he accepted $20. ($20/hour is an incredibly low rate.)

He gave us a good price but he never finished the work. This was disappointing. We had to finish the work ourselves. He said he could do the work in a short time frame, prior to our move in and since this was not completed we had to stay at a friends house for a week and a half. It was a huge inconveince.

Jay was very easy to reach and came exactly when he said he would. He was polite. His bid was WAY, WAY lower than any other bid. Others said they needed two men, at a higher hourly rate. He said he could do it alone, at a very low hourly rate. He did the job when he said he would and charged lower than his estimate. I paid him more than the $28 because I felt he deserved more. My neighbor was also happy with him and felt he'd undercharged her as well, so she also paid him more than the bill called for.

He is very friendly and helpful in making decisions. Very thorough.
