About us
We are an ECO-FRIENDLY company that offers an alternative option to traditional lawn care. Customers who reside in the city or who have smaller properties we offer mowing services where we use electric equipment to reduce emmissions that would be released into the atmosphere through the use of gas powered equipment. Unfortunately the larger properties or properties that are not flat we have to use gas powered machines. We choose machines with the lowest amount of carbon output so we don't add unnecessary harmful gases into the environment. We tried for years to only use electric mowers but they are not meant for commercial use and we were literally breaking them every week so it just wasn't realistic to continue to use these machines until the manufacturers build a commercial electric mower that can take the beating of commercial use. We are still committed to using electric or hand tools when we are able to. We use wind power to charge & power our equipment, which means that we not only won't be adding any harmful gases into the atmosphere, but also that we are not depleting nonrenewable fuel sources. Any energy used to power our equipment using conventional methods is offset by renewble energy that we purchase. Additional Email - [email protected]

It was fabulous. The whole property hasn't looked this good in years. The plantings have sprung back to life and are flourishing. We were pleased to see the guys did most of the work by hand, there was maybe a total of an hour of leaf blowing. The collected all the yard waste and disposed of it. They used Wilson Farms for the mulch which also made us happy - locally sourcing is important to us. We look forward to a long relationship with this company! We've already scheduled a fall cleanup and requested our shrubs be trimmed back after their blooms fade. We can't say enough good things about this company.

John, the manager, and his team were great. John took the time to go over everything that he thought he should do to the garden (which needed some serious help) in advance. He is really nice and gave me his cell phone number in case we wanted faster service (it can sometimes take a little while to get a response from the main office -- I assume they are very busy). We haven't received an invoice yet for the spring clean-up, but they also have mowed our grass from time to time and are reasonably priced.

First, Mike was very responsive to my inquiry and followed up quickly with a plan to visit and give me an estimate. His estimate was very reasonable, plus he was offering a special through Angie's List. The work was delayed a couple days due to weather and then the marathon bombing, but Mike was in touch during that time assuring me he'd get it done as soon as possible. I was away when he did the work but came home to find beautiful beds with organic dark mulch and no more wintry debris in the beds or yard.

In general Mike was a pleasure to deal with. THe work performed was mostly done to satisfaction and if something wasn't Mike was happy to make it right. I did have to spend a little time reminding him of the details of the work and a few items did not get done that were to have been done, but I didn't pay for those either so mostly no harm.
The crew was courteous and variable in terms of how well and fast they worked.
Scheduling was a little bit of a dance but I was not under a strict deadline. If I had been I might have been miffed. I will hire again

The requirements that I gave to Mike were that the work be dog-friendly, low maintenance, and fairly inexpensive. Mike came up with a plan that met those requirements, and kept in touch with me via email with updates since I wasn't home for most of the work. We got a bit of a late start, since I contacted him late in the spring, his schedule was pretty booked, and the weather didn't cooperate for much of the time either, but he got his crew out here whenever scheduling and weather permitted, and the results more than met my requirements. Look forward to working with Mike in the future for maintenance and additional landscaping.

I've used this firm twice so far. I work a weird schedule so I contracted the job with them via e-mail. They came when they said the would and did an excellent job. They were a little expensive, but are reliable and do a good job. I'd recommend them to those seeking similar services.

Green goat did an excellent job cleaning the snow off our driveway and sidewalk. However, their prices were pretty steep. They always came but sometimes it was several hours after the snow had stopped. They seemed very aggravated when we called a couple of times to ask about their ETA.

"Snow Service is a very difficult service as everyone wants to be cleared out at a specific time and first. We specifically explain to all of our clients that we do not clear during the storm, we start when it ends and you are put on a 10 property list. The crews work hard to get to each property as quick as possible. We also explain that if you need to be cleared by a specific time this is not a service we provide and for your needs you should seek a company that does offer that service. The cost of a thousand dollars for your service was for 10 or so storms that included clearing the entire property (large driveway, stairs, walkways, etc..) and applied an eco-friendly de-icer. In comparison to other companies prices and the services that we offer with eco-friendly products they are relatively low. I never like to hear negative reviews but unfortunately we can't keep every client satisfied when every client wants to be cleared at the same time after the storm."

Green Goat was able to fit us in at the last minute before an outdoor party. We had thought we were going to be able to do the work ourselves, but we couldn't have done it without them! The crew was extremely thorough and worked quickly in spite of the really hot weather. Everyone was friendly and punctual, and the work was done on time. The bill was the same as the estimate quote.

They are incredible. They are great. The last visit was the only visit so far. They are incredibly responsive. They do an amazingly thorough and cheerful job. They are very accurate with their estimates. It’s just a pleasure to deal with them and that’s the big thing. Not only is the owner wonderful but all of the people he hires are very polite and very respectful which often isn’t the case especially in lawn care stuff. They were terrific. Their price was good for what they did. I will use their services again in the future.

.They did a good job for me. They were pretty expensive. The problem is they are so busy it took me 3 weeks to get hold of them. I am trying to get hold of them again to mow my lawn because it is long again. But they are very busy. I had called a bunch of them but they were the only ones who responded even though it took them two or three weeks to come. He says he charges $55 per hour and uses 3 guys. But he says he pays for benefits and things like that. So they are not cheap. It took long time to arrange them but when they finally said they will come they came when they said they would. I will continue to use them.

"The member contacted me at a tough time and I admit i was delayed in responding. My wife was rushed in for emergency surgery and i was conducting business while I was at her bedside in the hospital. I was trying to juggle being with her and running a business. I know I told the member that fact and assumed she understood that my wife had to come first. I suppose I should have made it clear that I could not do the work until my wife was out of the hospital 3 weeks later."

It was a package deal for the whole thing. They began in late May and finished in October. They were terrific. They were upfront about stuff and easy to work with. They did a good professional job. I am expecting that I will continue the relationship.

Green Goat has been doing my snow removal since the beginning of the season. Mike came out to view the property within a day of my initial call. He always sends an email when he is sending out his crews and keeps his clients informed when there are back-to-back storms and how he plans on tackling the job. This has been a very busy season for snow removal, and I would have been overwhelmed had I not hired them. It is very difficult to use a snow plow for my property, so finding a service that used snow blowers was critical.
