Quoted $80 then charged $280. Never authorized any additional work. Owner rude and confrontational. Stay far away!

We loved Drain Doctor. The people we spoke to on the phone were wonderful and responsive. It was easy to schedule an immediate appointment at our convenience. The technician knew exactly what to do and was very efficient. And he fixed the drain. Reasonably priced.

I called Drain Doctor to clear a slow-flowing drain in my shower that was also affecting my toilet. They offered a service window between 2 and 4 hours after my call, and I mentioned that earlier would be better than later. They said they'd try, and try they did. Their technician showed up at my front door more than an hour earlier than the promised time. He was able to clear the drain quickly and efficiently without leaving a mess behind. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Very professional guy came, cleared that problem and then cleared a drain near the tubs that was also partially blocked. Said he'd be there in about 2 hours, came in 1 hour. Sunday call, so figured it would be expensive (but we couldn't use any drains in the house, so we needed it fixed ASAP), but was not as bad as I feared, reasonable for emergency Sunday work. Now my go-to company for drain problems.

Outstanding! Joe, the technician, was wonderful and he worked very hard in order to open my main drain. I have a 100-year-old drain that still has an old P trap as part of the drain system. He started by snaking the drain from the cleanout at the rear of the house up to the front of the house. But, that didn't solve the problem. So, he needed to dig a large amount of dirt out of the area surrounding the second cleanout in order to snake the trap area under that opening. Tree roots invading the drain were the most likely cause of the backup and once he was finally able to cut through the roots from the second cleanout, the water immediately began to drain out to the sewer system. I highly recommend this company. The entire process took about 5 1/2 hours from the time of my original call to when the job was actually completed.

We have used Drain Doctor several times in the past for our tub drain, with good experiences. For this job, we called late on a weekend evening, and they were able to send someone later in the night. It was amazing to get someone for a reasonable price at that hour, and he did a great job. In less than two hours, the sink and dishwasher lines were clear, and the dishwasher was working again.

Bob cleared the main line, checked all of the toilets to make sure there was not a problem within the walls. I feel confident he did everything he could be expected to do and hopefully my problem is resolved. In any case, I have nothing but the highest praise for Bob and Drain Doctor.

I called the main line and the operator took my information and a brief description of the issue. Not too long after, I received a call from Joe who asked for more information of the problem. He was able to give me a quote on the cost and an estimate of how long it would take him to get to the property. Joe called back within the time frame that he provided and told me that he was on his way. He arrived pretty quickly after and I showed him to the access point for the building's sewer line. Joe assessed the problem and after snaking the line the water began flowing normally again. Joe was professional and courteous and explained what had been done. I (and my neighbors) cannot thank him enough for coming out to fix this problem on a holiday!

We called a few places, and no one else could come that night. We tried Drain Doctor, not knowing anything about them. But we were desperate. Someone came right over, at around 10:00 pm on a cold winter night. He was very professional and knowledgable. He used his large electric snake device to clean out the pipe between our house and the street. He didn't have his vac with him, so I ended up using my own to clean up the backed up water. Fortunately there was no solid waste in that episode. Because we have had a few of these over the years, he suggested we do an annual clean out. Because of the mess and cleanup time for me when this happens, we will do an annual cleanout, and will use Drain Doctor going forward. They are great!

It turned out (naturally) to be more difficult than expected. Hector worked very diligently and persistently to get the snake out to the town sewer, which required several attempts with large and small heads to finally get through. Hector was a very nice guy and did a great job, including thorough clean up. The price was well worth it, especially considering how hard and long he worked.

Main out line started backing up into our basement during dinner. After calling a number of places and finding most of them charging over $400 to come out after hours, one place recommended I call Drain Doctor and see if they could help. I called and left a message with the receptionist (very professional) and Hector called me back within 5 minutes. He had 2 jobs already scheduled and said he couldn't come out for a couple of hours but promised he would come after he finished. 1:45am, he arrived took a look, cleaned out the clog, cleaned up and was gone in 30 minutes. Completely worth staying up to get it done rather than dealing with missing work the next day.

Having renovations done in a 3 family on Cedar St in Somerville.  Used Drain Doctor on 3 separate occasions and for 3 separate

repairs; all with A ratings.  In all three appointments Fran came the same day, found the problems right away and fixed the problem each time and in little time.

I also had problems with Lowes giving me two new toilets that both had cracked bowls.  To help me with the toilet Fran tested the toilet for me learning that the bowl was cracked.  Should have called him first, as I had just finished calling Allen plumbing of Somerville who had me level my bathroom floor and install a new phange; both of which did not fix the problem of the toilet not holding water.

Fran even called Lowes to help me in returning the new cracked toilet because Lowes was giving me a hard time with the return.

Fran on all 3 occasions had no doubt that huge water problem each time would be fixed and fixed right and quickly and in all 3

occasions it was.  I also found Drain Doctor to be so much more knowledgeable than plumbers

Always good if you're in a pinch and want to immediately unclog your drain, but it was definitely expensive.  I'd really only use them again if I needed immediate service (not emergency)
