He originally quoted the job for $2900 which included 70 - 80 yds of half inch screened loam and hydroseeding. He came Tuesday August 1st with his Bobcat, power rake and dump truck. He can fit less than 20 yds of loam in his truck so he said that he was going to bring in 4 loads of loam. At the end of the day he had loam spread, and the plan was to come back the following day to hydroseed. I noticed that the amount of loam did not look like 70-80 yds but this was my first time dealing with type of stuff, so I did not say anything. Wednesday, he came back and filled up his tank with my water and hydroseeded. There were spots that did not have some hydroseed. I have been watering and the grass is coming in. When I called him to pay him I asked him to bring the receipts from the loam. He brought 2 pieces of paper that were identical that both said that it was about 35 yards. Bottom line, he cheated me out of 35 yds of loam. I payed him without fully inspecting the receipts (which was a mistake). I called him back and asked him to see the original receipts which he said would be no problem. He never called me back and when I finally got a hold of him (by calling him from a different cell phone because he wouldnt answer my calls) he got very defensive and then refused to show me the originals, and stated that how much dirt he brought wasn't important.
