I can not recommend Joe highly enough. He is personable and very experienced. He did repairs to our deck, and siding that had water damage. He installed an additional downspout to prevent further damage. He also did numerous repairs around the house. He tries to keep costs down. We were so pleased that we gave him a cash bonus! Something that I never did before.

They fixed the problem with the sink quickly and for a good price. The problem with the sink was the clips that hold up the under-counter sink, under the granite, had failed (rusted out). The sink was hanging on by one clip and the plumbing. JW came and fixed the problem! Excellent work.

Would like to have known that debris would not be removed and articles put back in place. This was never explained up front. I will need help from someone to do this with me since I am a senior citizen and live alone. However, the work performed was very satisfactory and done in good time. The contractor was very pleasant and hard working and I plan to have him return for another project soon.

Joe responded quickly to our inquiry. He started the job right away. He works quickly and was done in just a few days. His work is very good. He figured out a way to frame the lattice work on the sides of the deck as we requested. Our deck looks so much better, we are very happy with it.

Joe completed many projects at my house (rebuilt front porch, installed chandelier and other fixtures, painted basement floor, repaired damaged cabinets). In addition to being wonderful to work with, Joe is very creative and talented and completes his work with. All of his work was done in a high quality manner. I highly recommend Joe.

Despite issues with Joe's customer service, his work quality was excellent. The problem we had with him was the cost and time far exceeded the estimate so we far exceeded our budget as a result. Would be hesitant to work with again and only if there was better communication on that aspect of the project prior to and after the work is underway.

As regards to our project: J.W. Shaw Contractors (Joe Shaw), did an excellent job on our kitchen entrance replacement. From start to finish Joe was friendly, courteous, personable, on time and professional. We contacted Joe to help us replace screens, & address a few additional minor projects (like fixing a falling in ceiling, light, adding some support under a door, etc.) He addressed all of those projects quickly, & also helped us address a few carpentry projects. He is very good at identifying areas that need to to be improved in a house, & helping you understand what & why they should be fixed as well as what the cost is. We ended up spending way more than we had hoped, but the scope of the project expanded. That wasn't due to Joe upselling us but rather the fact that we found a handyman who is very capable of addressing a range projects
