Ferrari Pools is everything you DO NOT want in a pool company. High prices, shoddy construction, promises at the beginning and reneging at the end (“oh, we don’t do landscaping, we don’t do this, we don’t do that,” even though they said, “yes, yes, yes” from day one). The list of grievances is long, but I’ll discuss just the big ones. Our pool was incredibly expensive and looked pretty good. In just a few years, everything is falling apart. Another pool company has said the pool of this caliber and price should last 15-20 years. Ha! The spa tiles have had to be replaced to the tune of thousands, and the new tiles don’t match the pool because the original style was discontinued in a few short years. The actual shells of both the pool and spa are hollow and certainly should not be. It’s a matter of time before something gives way. It’s a waiting game. The decking area (quite large) is collapsing because there is no concrete underneath, as there should be. The heavy tiles are held up by dirt only, which doesn’t support the weight. Without doing the entire thing over, we are in a patch, repair, and wait game. The weight of the tiles covering the auto cover is too much and causes pressure on the auto cover, which has had to be replaced once to the tune of thousands. We have been told that those thick tiles are too heavy and are inappropriate for that use. The retaining wall is collapsing on the back side. A previous review of this company prompted a written response to the review asking us to give them an opportunity to look at the problems and do reasonable repairs. It promised to get in touch with us and did not. It was our first pool and certainly our last. We learned many painful lessons. I believe this is what happens when money, not reputation, is the most important thing to a company. We would never recommend this company.

RUN don't walk from Ferrari pools. They built our pool 5 years ago. We had issues from construction through to service. They also did not honor the warranty on our tiles when several tiles on our spa popped off. They confirmed they were under warranty but promptly refused to come and fix costing us thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket cost to fix on our own. The communication and unprofessionalism runs rampant in all areas of the company up through the owner, who has been terrible and completely rude to us, his customers. Most disappointing company we have ever done business with. Save yourself a huge headache and find a pool company that values their customers and stands behind their work and warranties.

After reading reviews about Ferrari I knew their customer service was poor from the start but I had also seen that the pools they build are well done. I decided to put up with the poor customer service and paid them a $2,000 dollar deposit for an $11,000 job to replace a liner and coping. I underestimated how bad the customer service really is. I had to remove an old concrete deck from around the pool before they started work. They told me to let them know when it was done and then they could start the next week to do the job and that it would take 7-10 days. I called them on a Friday to let the know the concrete was removed and they told me the owner would call me the next day to confirm. He didn't. I called them again on the Monday, same reply: the owner would call me the next day. He didn't. I called them the next Friday (when they should already have been working on the pool) and I was told the owner would call me the next day. He didn't. 3 weeks after they should have started and 2 weeks after they should have finished the job, I still hadn't heard from them. I called and asked to speak to the owner, he wasn't available and so I told them exactly what had happened. I asked them why they hadn't honored their commitments and also asked for a detailed schedule of when the job was going to be done. 5 minutes later I received a call from the owner, the first time that anybody from Ferrari reached out to me in the whole process. In what can only be described as the most bad-mannered call I have ever received from a person to whom I have paid thousands of dollars, the owner launched into a tirade. Without going into too many details he said my behavior was out of line, that I had no business in telling them what to do and that he was rescinding the contract unilaterally. I pointed out to him that he had to honor a signed contract and that I would decide if I sacked them or not. Evidently after their appalling customer service, there was no way I was going to pay even more money to them and canceled the job the following week.. Fortunately they returned the deposit which is the only positive thing I can say about them. Before signing a contract with this company, I would recommend reading the reviews here, on HomeAdvisor, Yelp and Yellow Pages before deciding. Ignore the ratings that come without reviews (who knows who posted them) and compare the ratio of positive to negative reviews. I would also recommend going into the store to evaluate the customer service received from the sales people, be prepared to wait a long time and take note of how many phone calls go unanswered while you are waiting, ask yourself if this is the way you want to be treated as a customer paying thousands of dollars for a service.

I had Ferrari pools remove my old pool and put in a new one. The final product is a nice pool, but the service was well below average and the price was high and there were many many add-ons.
I had talked to them to get specifics on price and showed my concern about over-runs and that I wanted to understand the full cost. Everything always came in higher than estimated and there were things they didn't mention as additional costs. Examples, they estimated the cost of the electrical work to be $3000-$3500, (in writing) the bill was $4360. When I asked about it and the quote, the only response was and quot;that's the costand quot;.. but you estimated 3000-3500.. and quot;that's the costand quot;.. it was like talking to a brick wall. They forgot to mention that it would cost $4500 for site planning, and quot;well, we couldn't anticipate thatand quot;. They pool is less than 100 feet from wetlands, how could you not? An additional $1500 or so for stones as they were having trouble getting the trucks right up to the site, and quot;that's your costand quot;, $800 for truckloads of water, etc, it went on and on..
As far as service goes, total lack of communication on timing and payments etc. They never once called before to say when they were going to show up or arrive. One day, they just arrived, would disappear then reappear. I never knew if they were coming, what was next and when. I was away on vacation when the pool was actually gunuited.. nice surprise to come home to! The workmen had no respect for my property, they wanted to make it easier to get in and out so they simply took a chainsaw and cut off major branches to trees. That was a huge shock. I was even home and came out to see my trees bald and misshapen. If they needed to do that, they should have asked.. then of course they simply left all the branches in the driveway for me to clean-up. They also hit and broke a fence post and gave me a run around at first, then agreed to repair and then never did. We had some issues hitting ledge, they had mentioned that, and we had to adjust and it cost extra, I was bummed, but understood. I don't hold that one against them.
This was the second gunite pool I had installed so I had a benchmark for service. I had used AquaKnot in Weymouth and they are hands down far better. If I had to do it again, I would go with them and not Ferrari. They called and updated regularly, told me when they were coming, what to expect and how long it would take... and then they did it. They also stuck to the budget and didn't have unexpected add-ons. The payment expectations were upfront and transparent. Just a better organization and therefore experience all around.

They over promised under-delivered. They were off schedule, unresponsive. Had to replace a lot of their work to learn they put in a motor on the filter that was too small, all the tile along the top of the pool is coming off and needs to be replaced, they never Chaulked along the upper edge so water leaks in. Their team that opens the pool is HORRIBLE. expensive, broke our rock coping- then denied it, charged us for a full opening and when the left the filter was not running, there was a mouse and mouse nest in the systems, floor system not running (motor replace after a few years), did not seal filter and O ring was left floating on the water and they could have cared less. I do not know who the people are giving them favorable grades. I do not know anyone who has had a good experience with them. I can send photos if you want to see what your pool will look like in 10 years.

I visited the Store in Shrewsbury and asked for a quote on the Hydropool 395 and the Lazyboy Rejoice. I was told that qoutes only come after I pay $135. When I asked for a quote including only: Spa cover, Cover lift, Initial chemicals, Steps, Training class, Handrails, Delivery to spot, the saleswoman responded that she can only give me the quote after a $135 deposit.
As the spa quote is right now, it is totally unacceptable. They are requiring me to PAY $135 before I even get to see the Spa Quote. That is unreal and is Not The Norm in industry.

They were good people. They told us what they thought was going on and what we could expect. They were able to confirm our suspicions and I needed an expert to tell me that. There wasn't anything that really stood out, but they did what they were supposed to do and that was that. They were five minutes early and they didn't try to sell us anything that we didn't need. Their price was about average.

Overall the job went well this time. Previously when they closed it they made tears on the cover. When I went to open it I found the tears. When I called them they came out and fixed it. I have a sand filter, which normally they don't service. They went above and beyond and did service my sand filter. They were timely and did not over sell me. I had sand at the bottom of my pool and they were trying to figure out how to get it up because I could not. They figured out to use panty hose to catch the sand and showed me how to do it to save money and not have them charge me for it. They checked in with me every day to see how I was doing and if they could offer assistance. They walked me through issues over the phone. I respect them because they baby-stepped me through it where they could have charged me to do it. They provide everything, including chemicals. You can call and they will just drop them off. They will do partial open and close where you remove or put on the cover and they will do the rest and deduct $125 from the bill. They will educate you how to to open the pool and now I do it myself. The girl that works in the office has a great personality. She was a cheerleader for me when I was having problems with the pool. They are really good and really effective. They did not let the sand filter be an issue and took my account, where other pool companies would not touch it.

It was very frustrating. They were very attentive before the sale but after the sale it was hard to get a hold of them. All of the time frames that they told us about the job were way off. Now my pool is leaking and the tiles are falling off which are 18 inches of patches that are falling off. They are not doing anything about it because they are saying that it is over the warranty. They closed are pool and then opened it and the water was very green. He broke the stone wall and then when he left, the pool was not running and there was a mouse nest in the filter. The pool is 8 years old and leaking 1 to 2 inches a day. They also installed a motor that was way to big. This was causing the pool to run inefficiently, so we got another motor and now it is running efficiently. The deck pavers are very uneven and it looks like a mess.
