Dalton's Cherrywood Kennel

Our experience with them has been excellent. They do what you ask them to do. They are punctual and reasonably priced. They make my pet feel comfortable. They also do animal boarding there. I am getting ready to go back there in a few minutes. They charge somewhere in between $30 and $50 for grooming. Their pricing, the quality of their services, their responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are excellent.

They are just excellent people. The price is reasonably priced. They are very caring and love the dogs. They are very considerate of the dogs, their owner and the cats. The staff is friendly and very professional.

Below is a complaint that I submitted to the Better Business Bureau on 2/28/08. It is BBB case #216986. The case was closed as unresolved on 3/31/08 due to Dorothy Dalton's lack of response. This was the 2nd unresolved Better Business Bureau issue regarding Dalton's Cherrywood Kennels. Is there a way you could help to resolve this? At the time of the complaint the veterinarian bills were $98.75. Since then the dog has had extensive medical attention to his eye stemming from his injury. The bills are in excess of $400 and I've now been referred to a specialist which will be very expensive. BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINT. To whom it may concern, I am writing to inform you of the unethical business behavior of Dorothy Dalton, Dalton's Cherrywood Kennels of Shrewsbury, MA. I have been a customer of Dalton's Cherrywood Kennel for over 15 years, grooming, boarding and day care. My Lhasa Apsos was injured at Dalton's on 1/28/08 while Dorothy Dalton was judging at the Westminster Dog Show in NY. I was called to take him to the veterinarian for medical attention and was told he was pawed in the face by another dog. My veterinarian informed me the injures were consistent with those caused by a chain link fence. My dog was very lucky he only punctured his eyelid and scraped off the skin and hair from his eye down to his jaw. He could have potentially lost his eye. Dorothy was notified immediately of the accident by her staff. I left Dorothy three messages to call me and sent an email to the contact address on her website. She never responded. I called on 2/23/08 for the fourth time and was told she left for FL and told her manager if I called again to tell me that "she can't pay the veterinarian bills". I asked if she indicated why she couldn't pay the bills and was told no reason was given. No one at Dalton's asked the amount of the medical bills. Accidents happen, but an ethical, responsible person would step up and do the right thing, not avoid the injured party. I wanted to make you aware of the irresponsible, unethical behavior of this business woman. I would like to be reimbursed for the medical bills.
