First job. Owner visited my property to get an accurate idea of what I wanted. The day before our appointment, owner called to see if we were open to doing the job one day early. We had no problem . His men did a good cutting, excellent clean up in good time. Owner came on this first visit to ensure that his crew knew the project. Very impressed with this company. Most importantly, the crew mowed the front lawn twice because the grass had't been cut in two weeks. Woohoo.. great job!

strip seeded the lawn last fall and it's never looked better. Trimmed a Japanese maple - it looks awesome. Good work on time and on the money

Played phone tag with Mike last fall, 2015. Tried again just yesterday, 4/28/16. Left a message. He happened to be near the neighborhood this afternoon, saw me outside and stopped. Introduced himself and we did a quick walk around the yard. He made a few suggestions and began work today. Stated our spring cleanup just in time to look good. Planning to return in next week or so to finish. Look forward to the cpmpleted work. Will review again post.

Instead of weeding an area where grass had grown up through some groundcover -- what I had hired them to get under control --, the provider weedwacked the tops of the grass. It looked better but I have to do the *actual* weeding myself. Obviously didn't solve the problem of removing the grass.
Also, I asked the provider to relocate a hydrangea from one side of the yard to the other. The hydrangea -- which had been very hearty -- didn't survive the transplant -- it turned black and died. Now I have to remove it and replace it.
That said, the provider was punctual, courteous, and helped tame my yard from a visual perspective. I was glad I got the help; I just wish it had been the right kind of help and that I didn't have to buy a new hydrangea.

I had my leach field replaced in July. Unfortunately, the area that had been torn up when initially seeded sprouted weeds. This is why it is recommended to plant grass in the fall or early spring and not the middle of summer. Therefore, I called Mike to come over and check out my situation. He came over and recommended killing off the weeds and then reseeding with his slice seeding machine. It's been about a month and with proper watering my lawn is filling in quite nicely.

Mike Paquette was very professional, courteous and punctual and first came to check-out our property and to discuss in detail what he felt we needed to be done. He made himself very available to answer any and all our questions and concerns prior to beginning the job. He then emailed us a detailed plan for the work he felt was needed and listed the jobs according to priority as well as provided us with pricing.

He has already completed the most urgent job as he felt our lawn needed the most attention. We have already asked him to return to work on further landscaping work we would like done before the winter.

Based on this first visit, we are happy with Ground Effects performance.

Mike is very professional and communicates well.  He did an outstanding job on my property and was very upfront with pricing (best price around for the work I needed) & scheduling.  I will be recommending Mike to my friends & family as I love his work.  I will be using Mike from now on for all of my landscaping needs.  I have also hired Mike to do weekly mowing until the end of the season.

Mike P and his team are excellent. I am so happy that I switiched to his company years ago!. He is professional, courteous, honest and reliable, Mike gives it to you straight- he does not over charge and is very very reasonable. When he first came to take care of my lawn it was a mess! My 2 big dogs had dug up the lawn and killed the grass where they urinated. Mike and his team took on this challenge and brought my yard back to life. It is now a lush green carpet that I love! and the best part is that he comes on a scheduled basis to maintain it at times that are best for me. I highly recommend Ground Effects!
