+ -1 moreWe love our new addition. Jeff’s original bid was $10000 less than another bid. We had some unexpected problems (see work description) and some changes during the project and the additional cost were very reasonable. Jeff takes pride in his work and goes the extra mile to make things right. For example when putting on the new roof and siding he re-nailed the existing sheathing on the sides and roof at no extra cost because he felt the old work was inadequate. Jeff communicated well as the project progressed and made good suggestions on how to improve the results. He was very adaptable in adjusting to problems that arose and changes we made. In some ways this was the job from h*** but Jeff pushed through it steadily, In looking for a contractor we only found one contractor in our area on Angie’s List that we felt was qualified to handle this complex job and he was too busy. One contractor looked at it and refused to bid. We are very fortunate to have found Jeff through the recommendation of our architect.
Description of Work: We added a sunroom in place of an old deck and a second floor bathroom on top the existing first floor bathroom. We also had the entire house resided and a new roof put on. This was a very complex job. We have an 1890 house that has been added to several times. The project included putting in a foundation next to an old stone foundation on one end and shoring up an inadequate foundation at the other end. We also put a second floor on a portion of the existing house. To make matters worse when they removed the old siding they found some rotted sills on one corner of the house. They propped up the house and add mortar the to stone foundation the replaced the sills.
