Their presentation was very professional. The estimate was thorough and timely. The worked turned out to be very high quality and I would definitely use them again.

They were terrific, and I highly recommend them. We were referred to them by a general contractor who had done some work at our house, and Dave (the owner) was extremely responsive. He stopped by the house the day we spoke and sent an estimate the following morning. It was higher than I'd anticipated, so we talked it through, found a couple of areas where we could cut the spend, and he sent a revised estimate the following morning. He also called later that day to see if I had any questions about the revised estimate -- before I'd had a chance to read through it!
He kept us in the loop at every step of the process, calling both my cell and my husband's when he couldn't reach me right away. He cleared any additional costs for us in advance, let us know that weather would delay their work by one day, and told us that they only undo what they can redo within a day -- they weren't going to remove the roof unless they could install the entire new one -- and afternoon thunderstorms pushed their original timeline back by a day.
At the end of the job, I asked for an itemized invoice that listed the additional work we'd agreed to have completed, which they sent right away. Payment was straightforward. The new roof looks fantastic -- we're thrilled with the quality of the work -- and they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward.
The price was a little high, but it was absolutely worth it for the level of service.

This company was subcontracted by our contractor. The man who came to perform the work was very nice, did a fabulous job and you can barely tell where the old chimney had been. He showed up on time and cleaned up after himself. The only problem we had with them was that we paid the bill and then received another one in the mail. We just sent it back with our check # telling them that it was paid and never heard anything else. I think the accounting for this company is a bit disorganized (I just read the other review and it sounds like they had a very bad experience with them.)

We had a uniquely bad experience with this contractor, and neither we nor our Condo Association will employ them in the future. Coastal replaced a skylight in our Unit and 2 other Units in our complex. They were supposed to give a volume discount for doing multiple Units. They sent us a bill. We asked them numerous times to itemize the hours worked and hourly rate. Despite multiple requests they did not document their charges and sued us and another Unit Owner. In the suit they claimed we’d signed a contract for the work. We did not sign a contract, and despite our requests they would not provide us with a signed copy. Without our permission our credit card was charged for the skylight, which we’d purchased for the job separately and directly from the manufacturer. In the lawsuit they put $300 on the Small Claims Court claim even though the bill was for separate charges for the Condo Association. They admitted this was not our bill, but said they just wanted to get it collected. However, the Association had paid the bill, butthey’d lost the check and the Association reissued the check.. They don’t return calls promptly. As outlined above, working with them has been a very bad experience and we are not using them anymore.
