Prestige Bathrub Refinishing

I was referred to prestigebathtubrefinishing.com by my real estate agent. My main criticisms are poor and inconsistent communication and disrespect. Specifically, upon first consultation they did not inform me that a return visit to remove protective paper and tape, replace hardware, and caulk was not included until after I had placed my deposit (and received written preparation instructions, which is how I became aware). When I objected, they stated that the technician could return the next day, after the surface had cured, to do these things for an additional $50. As the instructions previously provided made it very clear that these things could not be done the same day and should be done after the surface has cured (24 hours), I was surprised to hear from my tenant that the technician, in the end, actually did these things the same day as the refinishing. When I attempted to provide this feedback regarding poor communication to a woman by the name of Lynette in the main office, she became very defensive, would not let me express my dissatisfaction with their poor and inconsistent communication (talking over me), told me not to tell her how to do her job, and then hung up on me mid conversation (no joke). While the quality of the work seems acceptable, per my tenant, their attitude and customer service is not. Their management of customer expectations was very poor, to say the least. I would also remind them that my tenant was not the customer, I was. I would not do business with this outfit again and I have forwarded these criticisms to my real estate agent, who has shared them with her colleagues at Compass. I will also report them to the BBB.
