Home depot seems to have much different customer service when you walk in the store. They are being more proactive. I was surprised when I went to the store recently and there seem to be people asking if they can help you and they say hi when you walk in. It is a friendly atmosphere. I have got to believe it is kind of coming from corporate to do that because people complain a lot. In the past they were horrible. I think it was really a good idea too because they now have like pods on each aisle. They decorated them by numbers and so they could say like aisle 7 number 3 is where you find that product. I thought that it was a very good idea. There's a big difference.

Carpets looked fine after installation.   But, after the one year warranty was up, carpets bubbled up.  Called Home Depot and was told installation was not covered and I would need to pay to have the carpet stretched.  They came down and stretched my carpets. Then I needed to call again because my carpets  produced bubbles a second time. That also didn't last long, because all four rooms of carpet are full of bubbles and have been this way ever since.  The Installers claimed it was my floor that caused the bubbles.   I don't believe that, because my prior carpet that I had down for 15 years never had any bubbles or ever needed to be stretched.   It was faulty installation of the carpet that caused all the bubbling and they know it..  Now I need to replace  all four rooms with  new carpet or wood flooring.

They were going to install stairs, but told me not to tell anyone because they would have to charge me.  It cost me $170 to install the ramp alone.  The stairs built were not sturdy. I fell down due to the poor quality of the stairs. Now I am being told that I am going to have to hire a carpenter to fix the stairs that Home Depot installed. The carpenter suggested I have Home Depot do the repair on the stairs because it was their responsibility.   I called Home Depot and they said that they would send out an engineering specialist to repair the stairs. I am waiting to hear from him at the moment.
