Constantino Plumbing

You have been warned. DO NOT HIRE. It's a shame the number of crooks that work in the plumbing industry. A coworker recommended Paul and he came and told me that the cost would be 7000.00 and 2500.00 in advance, I gave him the deposit . He came on time and completed when he told me. When the job was completed he told me that it would be 7500.00 a difference of an additional 500.00. My thermostat was not function property he switched the top of the thermostat and told me that it was set. A couple of days later I called him because a toilet was leaking from underneath. Texted and called he said that he would take a look at the toilet the next morning. He came looked at the toilet, told my tenant that the toilet would need to be replaced and that he would call me to let me know. I texted called no reply for 2 days. Called another plumber he told me that a ring was the problem. The toilet did not have to be replaced and I am still having issues with my thermostat.

Constantino was also suppose change the main plumbing pipe and a new pump in the basement. He was also suppose to give us a new pipe to our wash machine, and fix our leaking pipe under our bathroom sink. The new pipe, pump, pipe for wash machine, and leak under sink was never completed, but it was included in the price. Never Never verbally discuss the work to be done. It doesn't happen. One of our boilers was not working properly and he never came out to fix it. UPDATED We ended up having another company come out to fix our boiler-Mod Con and it cost us $450.00. When our pipes broke and leaked we called Constantino on a Saturday night and he never called us back. We called him Sunday and he finally came out. I also stated since he never completed the work he agreed too, we didn't have any intentions to pay him to fix the broken pipes.

This was the first time that Paul was at my house. He arrived on time and was polite and courteous.   The work area was small and added to the complexity.
His work was more than satisfactory,  In fact, I called him more that once in December for service including replacing a toilet.  He systematically maintained the same quality of work as described above. Above all, this was the holiday season, Christmas  and  New Year. I'm sure that he had family things to do.  But, he came and never complained. 
At the end of March 2014, I called Paul again for a toilet in the cellar. The water was running.  He came within the hour to see if it was an emergency like the problem in December. But it was not the same problem.  Since I do not use this toilet, he gave me an option of replacing the fixtures in the tank or just leaving it shut off until I needed it working. I decided to leave it shut off.
