It went very well. They were a little late due to traffic. They called to let us know that.

Efficient, polite, and willingly answered my mostly very basic questions. I live alone, and felt safe and comfortable having them in my home. No rocket science in these little jobs, but they quickly and neatly handled the assembly and installation of the dining room ceiling light fixture I had recently purchased and checked to make sure I was satisfied. Carl even carried the old fixture to my basement storage room for me. Fixing the fan in the bathroom, which sounded like a plane taking off, they did the absolute best that could be done without replacing it, and asked for a dustpan and brush to clean up afterwards. They were a bit late - less than an hour, but I didn't mark them down for it because the appointment was during rush hour and traffic was terrible, they were coming quite a distance, and they were very apologetic. The bright side of this, and the reason I mention it at all, is that they cover a wide area. So even if you don't live near Saugus, call them anyway. They are great. Highly recommended.

This was their second visit. I am extremely happy with their first visit; however, in this visit I felt overcharged. This happens to us all the time. We live in a historic neighborhood and when people see our house the increase our prices. I often don’t negotiate with them. This time they bent something in the socket of our light fixture so that it works. That took him just two minutes. They changed the light bulbs in the kitchen. The cost was too much. He came with another guy. Based on the limited interaction I had with him I felt he was a genius in solving a problem in his first visit but not on the second visit. I will use them again in the future.

I just wrote a review for another company, so I hate to sound repetitious, but these people were excellent in every way. They're nice people, they try to make everything work to your liking or explain why your idea might not be so great. Just like the other company(both of which were highly rated by Angie's list, the reason I called them), they were on time, worked one and a half full days, pretty much barely stopping to eat. I couldn't be happier with the results or with the people.

I wanted to improve the safety of the wiring for a 220v washer/dryer outlet that was near a potentially wet area. My initial thought was to have an existing standard junction box removed and have a new wire put in for the branch circuit. I called Carl and we made contact that same day. Since I was available at that time, he offered to come by that afternoon just to get a better feel for the job and give me his opinion! Within an hour or two, Carl was at my residence, busy inspecting the *potential* job (I had not even hired him yet!) After inspecting the current installation and hearing my concerns, Carl suggested an alternative to completely replacing the branch circuit that he thought would be more cost-effective, and involve less tearing up of my home (replacing the branch circuit would likely require making various holes in walls and ceilings.) His solution was to replace the existing std metal junction box with a weather-proof box, with sealed connections. I was also interested in installing a ground-fault interruptor circuit breaker; he presented clearly the benefits (added safety) and drawbacks (just the cost of the device.) He also discussed where he thought the electrical code was headed in regards to this. His main concern was for parts availability, and so he immediately called his supplier and confirmed they had the part in stock, and the price. He gave me his rates and estimates for the job (which includes 2 men working for a price similar to the std cost for one electrician) and we agreed to go forward - and he could do the job the next day! I live in a large condo complex that requires all contractors to provide insurance documentation to the office prior to performing work in any unit. I mentioned this to Carl, and he said he would have his agent fax over the information to our office. He arrived right on time (he also called before he arrived) and immediately stopped in at the office and made sure they had received the insurance documentation! This was a breath of fresh air, as most contactors don't seem to want you to ask for this information, and I've never had a contractor so proactive and conscientious. He and his brother Ryan arrived and did an excellent job, completed well within the estimated time (they did not charge for the initial job review that Carl had done the day before, which was reasonable since we hadn't agreed to the job yet, but I was still amazed he would come without having an agreement. Carl explained to me that he liked to try to review each job before taking it on; even though it cost him some time (i.e., money), he felt he could do a better job this way. This is very admirable.) The work performed looked professional, was clean and neat (I did notice one thing, that some of the screws on the circuit breaker panel cover weren't re-installed quite straight, but Carl immediately and happily corrected this when I pointed it out.) and Carl always took the time to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend Carl for electrical work, and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Our pond water was turning green because, although I had bought a new pump when the old one failed and wasn't circulating the water anymore, the cord of the new pump was too short to allow me to plug it in. So I was pleased that Mr. Nelson was available on a Saturday--he was on his way back from vacation and willing to work on this job even in the rain. He called to confirm the appointment and came over on time. I found him friendly and knowledgeable, and the price very reasonable. After his professional services were completed, he also agreed to help with our basement dehumifier: he corrected the position of the hose in the dehumidifier so that it would drain into the floor drain instead of the dehumidifier's removable bucket. I would definitely use his company again!

They are great. It is a family company, the owner's son took it over and his brother works for him. They do a good job and are nice.

Lights in one part of the house were either out or coming on intermittently. I had checked the circuit breakers and they seemed OK. Carl came the same day we called and fixed the problem very quickly. Carl is very courteous and professional. His team had previously worked on our house upgrading the knob and tube wiring, which the previous owners had tied the electrical wiring of their new addition into, as well as putting in several new outlets throughout the house from the basement through the third floor. His attention to detail is very high.
