He had to go get a couple of parts, despite having being told what he needed when we called, and requesting specifically that they supply them. Instead, we had to pay him for an hour and a half while he went to pick up the supplies. I thought it was ridiculous, especially given the commonality of the parts that we needed. The man himself was very pleasant and nice.

This is the plumber from h***. Over 10 years later I am still dealing with their shoddy workmanship, corner cutting on materials, and the things they did, like cutting metal support columns in my basement to put in ductwork in the downstairs apartment, then replacing the panel without saying a word. Things like a new trane furnace installed in my attic which wouldn't work when the wind blew and the temperature was below 35 degrees. Which O'Connor said was defective, which they then removed and sent back to the factory and installed another one with the same problem: it didn't work when the wind blew and the temperature was below 35 degrees. Another contractor corrected as much of their installation as possible, but I am left with a furnace that we need to disconnect the intake in the attic to have heat when it's cold out. Trane's representative told me they found nothing wrong with the returned unit. O'Connor's workmen came through the ceiling in my living room twice during all this, once actually falling through onto my stereo. They wouldn't work on our furnace installation until we had removed all of the shredded paper insulation that had been in the attic for 40 years. They scheduled us in August(?), and we spent an entire weekend, with temperatures in the 90's, shoveling and bagging this stuff. We counted the contractor bags we shoveled with tiny shovels and hauled down the pull down ladder:exactly 100. O'Connor never showed on Monday, never called. Our installation didn't take place until fall, and we had no heat, as the old electric had been removed. They then sued us in small claims court for $1200 worth of service calls they made because we were calling them in January because we had no heat. They reinstalled the furnace on a Friday, and when the temperature dropped on Friday night, we had no heat. They almost never showed up as scheduled, and when they did show up they were late and miserable. Just this winter I had water running into my bathroom from the ceiling because they used the wrong kind of piping on some furnace drain and it corroded and drained into my attic until it finally came through the ceiling. I could write a book about this. If anyone wants to know about them, get the old movie and quot; The Money Pitand quot; and check out the contractor. Why anyone would use them, when there are so many good, dependable, plumbers who charge fairly out there would be amazing to me. I should have sued them, but I was just too busy working and overwhelmed with remodeling this huge house.

He unbolted the toilet to check the wax ring and found what looked like small crack that was patched probably at the manufacturer. He cleaned and epoxied it and installed 2 new wax rings. That seemed to do the trick. No more leak.

They did the initial installation of the plumbing in this house 10 years ago. They've always been very responsive and reliable. We have a a good relationship with them, and we've never really had a problem. We always call them.
