Strout Inspections

We were fortunate to use Strout Inspections for a walk through pre-purchase inspection this past Sunday morning. My work schedule limited my availability so they suggested the next Sunday morning. Our inspector arrived before we did and was able to begin the outside inspection in advance. He was meticulous in his observations and provided context for everything he found. The home we are buying is over 100 years old so the attention to detail and context was necessary and appreciated. I recommend Strout Inspections.

Did not fully inspect attic. $2400 in dropping and rodent removal was needed first month in new home.
Did not fully inspect water filtration system. New tank was needed, $2700 during second week in new home. 
Reached out after inspection for referrals and never received an call back.
They were professional and on time. They provided a good and thorough report but we later found these two major items that should have been seen.

It was very easy to work with Mike Strout. He arrived in time and thoroughly inspected the condo.
After inspection he showed all the small and big issues and made good recommendations. His inspection report was detailed and clear. Mike is professional and friendly, I would highly recommend him.

Peter and his assistant arrived at the site before I did completed and inspection of the grounds. They entered the condo with my broker and got right to work. When I arrived a few minutes later they went over the items they'd already inspected and answered all of my questions. We continued through the condo and common areas. They inspected, pointed out issues and answered all of my big and small questions/concerns. Peter pointed out helpful things during the inspection such as how to pop out the windows for cleaning. His report was sent an hour after the inspection was completed. Response to follow up communications was prompt.

He did a good job and importantly showed up on time. Very professional and accurate. He was also smart. You can tell he knows how to manage a lot of jobs.
