Bill was very helpful when I called and explained that as my overhead door was lifting, a large spring broke away, slammed into my garage wall, and fell to the floor. Bill promptly arranged for an appointment that same day. He also told me what parts would be replaced and the total cost involved. Technicians arrived well within the quoted time frame, diligently made the repairs, and left the area clean. I'm very pleased with their overall service.

Light was broken.  A neighbor couldn't remove bulb it was in the socket so tightly.   The only way  he could remove the bulb was to break it.   He couldn't put another bulb in.   Salem Overhead came the next day.   The worker asked me why I didn't call them since it was under warranty.   He reattached a plug and we argued about the poor way the bulb was in the socket.   He  told me to call the owner and abruptly left.  The owner denied the unit was warrantied and denied his worker told me it was under warranty.   I told him I would not work with anyone who called me a liar.   The bulb  is still not working  (5/1)   and I've hired another company.   Both companies I called after Salem  Overhead told me Salem has the worst reputation in this area.

During the winter our garage doors were giving us problems. SOD came out and did a great job replacing parts on our 35 year old door. There was no pressure to purchase new ones - just helpful hints about how to keep our old doors running. We knew it was time to replace and went to the showroom to pick out new doors. Bill was so patient and walked us through the pros and cons of different doors. Again no sales pressure. We choose the doors and even had them installed backwards because we preferred the look. They were so professional and did an amazing job adding some flexible trim to seal the doors. The installers were excellent. We felt the pricing was fair and the results were great. We highly recommend Salem OH Door.

I contacted a few different overhead door companies.  Salem was the first to respond, and on the same day of my inquiry.  From the day I scheduled my first appointment with Salem Overhead Door I was sold.  It was a heavy pouring rain day, and I was fully expecting them to call to reschedule, but they showed up on time.  We sat down, they were extremely friendly and professional, and we looked at options and pricing. I never felt pressured for a sale, and there was no upselling, just a promise of an estimate with the options discussed and a friendly call if you have any questions.  They left me color samples and a brochure, with some rough pricing estimates.   The official estimate was emailed to me within a couple of days, and to my surprise was less than originally discussed, when does that ever happen?  I was indecisive between two models, and delayed in getting back to them, but when I contacted them to price out another option, I received that immediately as well.  On the day of installation, they arrived on time, completed all work as promised, there was no mess left behind, they were friendly and professional.  I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a garage door repair or replacement!

The service man arrived as scheduled and handled the opener replacement with no issues, but then serviced both doors thoroughly, greasing the main coil spring on each as well as all hinges and the bearings on the wheels that run on the tracks. Did a great job and now both doors operate smoothly. Benny was excellent.
Also, my key pad opened only one side and phone rep suggested I get a new pad which could be programmed to open both.

Prompt and polite.  Price seemed reasonable and service was very satisfactory.

Job went fine.  One man arrived as scheduled, worked quietly and efficiently, and had the whole job done by mid-afternoon.  He cleaned up very thoroughly, and took away all of the trash.  Very satisfied.  I rated the cost as "B" only because they did not honor the 10% senior discount offered on the Angie's site.  Both the installer and the office clerk said they knew nothing about it.

I liked that they were prompt and did a good job.  They were great and I would use them again in the future.

These guys did an awesome job, start to finish--the door we had was
very old, and had a lot of "tweaks" to make it work.  They did a great
job getting the door off, getting the new door on, and cleaning the
place up.  We noticed a definitely difference in the temperature of our
house this winter--it is much warmer with the new door.
