Tim and NVN had been recommended by a friend and I was quite pleased with their work. It was a big job to sand all the floors in our house and lay new hardwood in an area that had old laminate flooring. We also had two big holes in the family room floor that needed to be patched.  Tim arrived promptly for the estimate and came back with a very competitive price. His team was able to start the day after the painters finished and they worked quickly to meet our move-in date. I was amazed at how well the holes in the family room were patched. You really would never know they had ever been there. The rest of the floors were finished with a satin finish and they just glow. It was like moving into a brand-new house! They even had to replace the top step of our stairs to make it even with the new flooring in the hall. Everything looks great. Very detail-oriented. My only wish was that they had used dustless sanders. Although they cleaned, I still had to spend A LOT of time dusting the walls, trim, tops of doors, etc. - really anywhere dust could settle. Luckily the house was empty so this was easy to do. I've never had floors sanded before, so maybe this is just the way it works. Regardless, his price was the lowest we received so a little bit of cleaning was well worth it. And the results are beautiful!

We had a good experience with NVN. They did a very good job, they did not put us out of commission for too long and were very nice guys.

Cost was higher than estimate. Fine job, but that was annoying.

It worked out really well. The floors look beautiful. They were quick. They actually came back again to put another coat on them at the end because they weren't satisfied with how they looked after they had finished.

Not perfect. First problem, their quote didn't include applying sealer. Why not apply sealer, I asked? Because it adds an extra day to the job, and it smells. Apply the sealer, and I'll pay an extra $100, I said. OK, they said. Over the next 4 days, they did the job, and it looked great, so I paid them $1,000 ($750 for scraping, sealer, and 3 coats polyurethane, $150 for repair, $100 extra for including the sealer). It was only AFTER the floors had completely dried that I got in there and saw that they scraped the baseboards, and completely missed some large, shallow scrape marks in the middle of the living room. Somehow they were able to sand away the section of deep gouges (which I wasn't happy with because overly deep sanding weakens the boards), yet missed the shallow scrapes. They left my utility box in pieces on the basement floor next to a puddle of oil. They spewed sawdust everywhere, coating my woodwork, windows, appliances, fixtures, and even the closet floors (which weren't part of the job) with a thick yellow dust that took me a day and a half to clean up. And they missed 3 spots. So I'm a $1,000 poorer, and have cleaned up the sawdust, have gouges and polyurethane touch-up work ahead of me. And all the cleaning up I can do won't change the scrape marks right in the middle of the living room floor. So I'm not too happy with NVN Flooring, although, in fairness, the floors definitely look a lot better.

I was very pleased with them. They were very professional. They knocked the job out really quick. Their prices came out to about a dollar a square foot. They are very energetic and polite. The price was pretty good. My only complaint is they didn't leave me any receipts. I had to call them and they dropped one off. They were very high quality and they were ready to do the job. When I called them, they came out the next day.

I had pulled up the carpet beforehand but they removed all the old rusty staples that I had left. Not only did they do the work but the results are remarkable. The crew showed up on time or early every day but they respected our home and its contents even helping move a large and heavy hutch that was in the way. Their professionalism and pride in doing their jobs well was readily apparent. The only negative comment that I have is that the job was quoted at $390.00 and when I received a bill it was slightly higher at $400.00. As it was not the owner who gave me the bill I didn't argue at all due to the high quality of the work that was performed. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent - prompt arrival for swift and fair estimate, engaged them 2 weeks later - could start w/in days of whenever I wanted. They arrived just a little late but that was OK because it was on one of the first snow days and they were coming from Lynn to Metro-West. When I arrived they had already found the key and were well underway - quick/pleasant to deal with. Result 2 days later was a great finish, no dust to speak of and no damage to skirting boards or anything else. Just a real class act/finished job and what I think was a great price (I'd had quotes given as high as $1800).

They were great. They showed up when promised and the floors turned out beautifully. They don't do the fancy dustless sanding - so there was some dust. They did a reasonable job on clean-up but there was still some dust on surfaces - which was OK with us since we just bought the house and haven't moved any of our stuff in yet. The floors look wonderful and their quote was the second lowest we received (we had some concerns about the other company).
