Extremely thorough. Did not recommend excessive blood work, vaccines, etc., although we did discuss all options. I appreciate not having unnecessary tests and vaccines for indoor only animals, and it's one of the reasons I went to the Feline Hospital. Doctor Bird was terrific and let me know all about the full service nature of the practice.

My experience at the Feline Hospital was the most positive overall vet experience I have had in fifteen years of being a cat owner! Dr. Bird was extremely professional, caring, and gentle with my nervous cat. She took her time during our appointment and I never got the impression that she was rushing to finish the checkup. Quite the contrary, she told me that it is their policy to take as much time as necessary with each cat, which sometimes results in delays, but creates a better overall experience. I did have to wait about a half hour beyond my appointment time, but it was well worth it! In the meantime, I chatted with other visitors who have been coming to the Feline Hospital for 15+ years and would never go to another vet.
The setting is in an antique Victorian house complete with period details and resident cats who walk around making everyone comfortable. The waiting room provides refreshments and a whole collection of books and magazines about felines to peruse.
Overall, I was more than satisfied with my experience at the Feline Hispital and my cats will likely become more of those long-term patients. I was even more pleased to find that the whole visit, including two vaccinations, only cost about $145.00!

They're very good. They're very nice. They're very caring, professional, and clean. They followup on patients. They're not just in it to make the money. They really care about the animals.

I have dealt with all of the vets at the Feline Hospital at one time or another, and they are all wonderful! Most recently, I've had several issues with a 12-year-old cat that I adopted in October. She's been there for constipation problems, dental work, and a bad reaction after stopping some antibiotics, and she's seen all three vets who are currently on staff. They are simply the most loving, caring vets I've ever met and they work very long hours. One of the vets called me at 10 PM one night to give me some test results that I was waiting for. Another called my sister (who was pet-sitting for me and made an emergency trip to the vet on Saturday) on a Sunday to find out how the cat was doing. Anytime you bring the cat in for anything other than a routine check-up, the staff calls later to check in and see how the cat is doing. I absolutely love the whole staff there and would never think of going anywhere else.

I like them. I have been taking my cats there for a long time. They treat all of the kitties like they are the best kitties in the world. When they had to put one of my cats to sleep, they sent me a hand written sympathy notes. They also plant a tree in memory of the cats.

They really do a good medical job, but are also very sensitive with the animals and take the owner into account very much. They do the best they can and are supportive with any decisions you make concerning your pet.
