Architectural Service
Design work was good. Addition fit nicely with old house[1785] Structural details was commercial in detail rather than residential. Builder had trouble interpreting plans. Foundation plans and dimensions were especially confusing. Allowances for plumbing chases not made. Required extra expense to run plumbing. Architect not familiar with new building technology such as foam envelope insulation, or new waterproofing options for shower surrounds. Changes to design that I felt were design error were charged to us.Example: Kitchen ceiling too low to accommodate height of specified refrigerator, which required a change order. This architect needs, and may have by this time , more experience in the real world dealing with builders. This is just my opinion and experience. She came well recommended by a previous client. Thank You
