Canal Lock & Safe

We had a potential break in at our home. I called Canal locksmith and they returned my call within a reasonable amount of time the same day. After explaining my situation, they were going to squeeze me in the following morning. I was so very grateful. I gave them my address and they said I should get a call before they arrived and that it would be before noon the following day. At 10am that morning, I received a call and they said that the area that I lived in was very confusing and that they weren't able to find my address. I offered to give them directions and I was told that they usually don't service in my area (why they didn't tell me this the previous day I don't understand), and that I'd be better using someone else. They recommended another locksmith who I immediately called and they weren't able to help me until the middle of the following week. I am very, very disappointed as all the reviews up till this point have been so positive!! The woman who returned my call and was very kind and understanding. Now it is Friday, I have no one booked to change the locks and will probably have to go through the weekend with the uneasiness of not feeling safe!!

It was adequate work, I didn't further work from them. Depending on their pricing I would use them again in the future.

The service was unbelievably inexpensive. He is the best. He went out to his truck and made the keys. He is the owner of the company and his wife answers the phone and schedules appointments and she is lovely. He is very nice as well. He helps in any way that he can. I really admire him.

I bought a new home and wanted the locks changed. I spoke with Fred and his wife and we reviewed my needs. Fred actually toldme that he would instruct me on how to remove the locking mechanisms so I could bring them to his shop and avoid a service call. I wanted him to take a look at the property so I told him I'd be fine with the service call fee, which was totally reasonable. He was here on time (not an easy place to find) and changed four locks for me. He has a mobile machine shop that he parked in the driveway and did all of his work from there. The work was performed perfectly and at a reasonable price. I couldn't have been happier. This is a company that really cares about its customers and the quality of its work product. Fred and his wife are such nice people to work with. It's too bad that there aren't more companies like this out there.

I have used him for several years. He is professional, local, and he responds quickly. Most importantly, all the keys always work.

When I called Canal Lock and Safe the owner's wife, who is very courteous, arranged for an appointment within 3 days. This project was not an emergency. The company owner, Fred, arrived on time and finished the project quickly. He adjusted the other lock on the door. He cleaned up the wood chips from drilling and was very courteous and professional.

The job went well. Communication was good. He arrived on time and the job was completed promptly with due care.

Very knowledgeabble and quick

Fred was very knowledgeable, honest and professional and I would gladly use him again. He offered suggestion to my questions even though it wasn't what a locksmith does. The price had an added fee of $65.00 for travel, due to the distance I was from his home base.

They were very prompt and had curtious service. There was nothing that I didn't like. They were quick to respond and to set up an appointment. I would recommend them to others.
