D PUTNAM & SON BUILDERS

I ordered a cord of firewood from Putnam Services (aka woodbustersfirewood.com and D Putnam & Son Builders) in August 2015. Putnam Services accepted the order and promised delivery for "the end of September" (2015). In early October, I called Putnam and left a voicemail asking about the promised delivery and included my name and address. Putnam did not return my call. A week later, I left the same voicemail -- again, Putnam did not return my call. I called a third time, this time the owner answered. I gave them my name and address and inquired when I would be receiving delivery. Incredibly, they responded that they were out of wood and I would not be receiving the promised delivery!!! I asked why I had not been notified that they had no intention of performing on the contract and why no one had bothered to return my voicemails. Rather than offer an explanation, Putnam then HUNG UP ON ME!! One star is too much for them. UNPROFESSIONAL!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL NOT PERFORM ON THEIR CONTRACTS!! Update: The Better Business Bureau website lists Putnam Services as no longer in business -- no mystery why.
