Out to Dance

Best thing we ever invested in. Liz was more than patient. Very encouraging definitely knows her stuff it was a very relaxing atmosphere you almost forget you are learning something it was fun. We both came out feeling like we could conquer anything. The self confidence alone was worth the trip. We drove over an hour each way and don't regret one single minute. Can't wait to start our next class. Just not sure what we want to start with - salsa, Latin, cha-cha, etc. I guess just one at a time.

Liz is the best teacher ever! Highly recommend the private lesson package. My partner and I had no dance skills and wanted to not embarrass ourselves at our wedding. Lots of anxiety. She has a great way of putting you at ease, teaching you all the little things to make you feel confident, and most importantly, making it fun! She lets you drive the pace and what you want to learn. She taught us a simple first dance and also how to do the Mom/Son dance. You don't have to learn choreography or anything. Just simple easy moves that make you look natural. Could not be happier with the experience! Also - if you are a same s** couple and feeling awkward about dance lessons - Liz is the perfect instructor. LGBT friendly environment  - welcoming to all.

I am a self-confessed, lifelong failure at dancing.  It looks like it could be fun and it has been important, in each of my relationships, that dancing become a part of our time away from kids, work, and responsibility.  I have taken salsa and swing lessons many times and, each time, I have completely embarrassed myself.  I am not a natural at this and I grew to hate the thought of dancing, dance lessons, etc.
I am now settled and my life partner has desperately wanted me to learn to dance.  After several years of avoidance, I reluctantly agreed to sign up for 10 lessons with Liz Narna at Out to Dance.
Bottom line:  by the 4th or 5th lesson I started to enjoy it.  By the 7th or 8th lesson, I could actually dance.  Fred Astaire, I'm not.  But I'm good enough to have fun and not embarrass myself. And, for my girlfriend, it is important.  We just agreed to go out dancing on New Year's eve.  I would have never done this before taking lessons with Liz. I highly recommend her - especially if you are new to dancing and certainly if you, like me, have felt as though it is impossible to learn.  She is funny, lively, and she is an expert in teaching novices. If you are considering dance lessons, I recommend that you give Liz a try.  She makes it easy.

What a great experience. It was fun, the instructor was great. We did review each week to perfect the steps we learned before we moved onto new things. I would definitely take another class here.

I never thought I would be able to learn to dance. But I took lessons from Liz and now I love swing and ballroom dance. She knows how to work with individuals to help build your confidence and get you dancing before you know it.

Liz responded to my requests in a timely and professional manner. She was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. We had so many comments at our wedding from our guests on how great our dancing was. Because we had limited time before the wedding, we specifically wanted to make sure that we didn?t look too rehearsed, and Liz worked with our specific abilities so that we looked like we knew what we were doing. We were fortunate not to suffer from any crushed toes. We haven?t had too many chances to cut the rug since the wedding, but we were surprised how much we enjoyed our lessons. We highly recommend Liz at Out to Dance. She is personable, professional and clearly knows and loves what she teaches!
