 + -1 moreTHIS GUY IS THE WORST. UNFORTUNATELY, HE CAME RECOMMENDED BY A FRIEND WHO WAS TRYING TO HELP HIM FIND WORK. APPARENTLY HE'S PAINTED BEFORE, BUT HE HAS THE WORST WORK ETHIC OF ANYONE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. AFTER GIVING HIM A 1/3 DEPOSIT, IT TOOK HIM ALMOST 5 WEEKS TO START THE JOB...RAIN, TRAVEL...WHATEVER. THEN, HE ONLY WORKED WEEKENDS BETWEEN HIS OTHER JOB. AS SOON AS HE SORT OF GOT GOING, HE DEMANDED AN ADDITIONAL $1,000, SAYING HE HAD UNDERESTIMATED HIS MATERIAL NEEDS. HE COMPLAINED CONSTANTLY ABOUT HOW HARD THE JOB WAS, AND WAS JUST PLAIN LAZY. L-A-Z-Y. THE DETAILS ARE TOO DREARY TO GO THROUGH PIECE BY PIECE. MONTHS LATER, COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED, I FINALLY JUST PAID HIM TO BE ON HIS WAY AND OUT OF MY LIFE, AND PROJECT. HE EVEN LEFT A SPOT UNTOUCHED ON A VERY VISIBLE PART OF THE HOUSE AND TRIED TO SOAK ME FOR ANOTHER $150 TO ADDRESS ANOTHER PIECE OF HIS SLOP. HE'S A LAZY NIGHTMARE AND THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS STILL..WELL, NOT FINISHED!!!! STAY AWAY.
Description of Work: THE JOB WAS TO PAINT THE EXTERIOR OF A 100 YR. OLD 3 FAMILY HOME UNDERGOING REHAB. ASBESTOS SHINGLE WITH WOOD TRIM. THE SHINGLE REQUIRED A POWER WASHING, AND THE WOOD NEEDED SCRAPING AND SANDING. THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WAS FOR $10,000 FOR A MAIN COLOR, TRIM COLOR AND ACCENT (2 LITTLE STRIPS OF TRIM). IT ENDED UP AT $11,900.
