I just recently had carpentry work done by DETAILS HOME IMPROVEMENT out of Roslindale, MA. The contractors name is Yiannis Tzigizis and I couldn't have asked for a nicer person to deal with. He was very easy to talk to, a good listener and very detailed oriented. He also was a good problem solver because I had a unusual project started by another contractor who probably was over his head and left me high and dry. The project involved reframing a roof and installing fiberglass clear roof paneling in my garden house which was damaged by fire.
The garden house had three peaks, it was not an easy roof to deal with and was 12 feet to the peak and was backed up to a slope.
Most importunely, he showed up when he said he was going to and always returned my messages.

The work started and Yianni kept in constant communication with us. Even when unexpected hurdles came up, like reinforcing one of the posts in the foundation of the house, he was able to stay within budget. He provided us with options on almost everything, inlcuded different quotes for different heating options (forced hot air/high velocity). He made us feel very included and provided suggestions when we were stuck on something. He even came in on weekends to help us with putting the Ikea kitchen cabinets together!
The end result? Exactly what I wanted. He created an open floor plan on the first floor, turned the old butlers pantry into a guest bathroom, added an exit off the kitchen onto a 2-leven deck. Created an onsuite on the second floor by combing half of one bedroom with the other and added a master bath, 2 walk in closets (his and hers), and because he had a little bit of space left, created a shoe closet for my wife. He also added a second bath on the second floor with laundry. Finally, he created 2 bedrooms on the third floor as well as a storage room!!!
We were beyond pleased!!!
