Hi everyone, if you are looking for a great irrigation company and excellent customer service, Green Acres Irrigation ISN’T the best choice. Please, read the whole review. This is my first review online. I want to share with you my experience and my overall thoughts about this company. First of all, I want to say that part of this bad taste in my mouth is my fault. I didn’t search enough and trusted the first local company thinking they would give me great service and a fair price. Contacting Green Acres Irrigation was fast and easy. The next day, I received a phone call and in 2 days I had someone named Tom coming to my property to activate my irrigation system. Before I continue my feedback, I recommend watching some videos about activating your system on your own, it’s something so easy that will save you a lot of money and avoid being ripped off like my wife and I have been. I will explain more later what that means! Well, like I was saying, Tom came at 7:30 am and his customer service and greeting was awful. He had no desire to provide me this service, which was apparent from his attitude and facial expression. With a lack of communication and no enthusiasm he went to my basement to start the system and told me that he would fix up to 5 sprinkler heads and if I had more than 5 heads to be replaced he would talk to me before starting the job. Well, after 2 hours, he came back and told me he would send me the invoice. I was informed about the price for the system activation, which was $85.00. I got a bill for $325.00. I called them right away, no answer, emailed about 7 times and 1 week later I got a response and very rude Tom (I couldn’t expect any less) on the phone saying he understands he didn’t tell me the price for each sprinkler head which was $55.00 dollars and that he doesn’t work for free. He can be comedian I guess, but I didn’t take it, it was very unprofessional and unethical. I don’t want to prolong this feedback but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, be aware of this tactic. The top sprinklers heads aren’t more $15.00. He charged me $55.00 (I understand there is a mark-up on materials, but really?). I recommend you buy your own sprinkler heads and do it yourself, for now one I will because after seeing videos online I realized it isn’t that hard to fix it. Unfortunately, I had no clue about this because I never had a house with a sprinkler system and I lacked of time to go and learn how to do it myself, I ended up paying for this. They agreed they were not fair and clear with me telling me that it was extra charge and discussing prior to replacing the heads, it was A LOT EXTRA. So, if you want to spend more than you should and be ripped off ‘Green Acres Irrigation in Rockland is your place to be. Sorry, I had to share my experience. Hope it helped you make the best decision. Local isn’t always good. I will never contact them again.

Had problems with the irrigation system from the start (new home). They came in, recommended a well guy, who did a great job, price was reasonable. Once the well was fixed, Green Acres came in and replaced the sprinkler heads that were broken, but since the season was almost over, didn't push us to buy or upgrade the heads. The crew was always professional and explained everything to us, step by step.

Tom from Green Acres and his company were great, they were recommended to us by our landscape contractor Tim Warner of Warner Brothers Landscape and Excavation. Tom came and gave us a quote for $2300, which we were very happy with, he uses hunter and rain bird, both great products and are standard in the industry (I worked at a golf course, so yes i do know this) they came out within two days of our contractor finishing the new lawn, and they were done with the install in a matter of hours, their plumber who came to install the back flow preventer was great as well. We will be using them again in a year or two when we redo the back yard.
