Marcelo was extremely professional, always abiding by his word, completing the job promptly and at a very high quality. He really went the extra mile to guide me on the bathroom remodel, making several key suggestions that turned out very nicely. He works very efficiently but without sacrificing quality, and he is skilled enough to complete many different tasks (cabinet install, tile replacement, etc) which makes the remodeling process so much more stress-free. It's a pleasure to work with him, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a real professional who's dedicated to customer service and high-quality work!

Exceptional experience! I sent a service request to 3 companies, and MDA was the first one to reply with a quote. Marcelo came by the same day to evaluate the situation and came the next day to fix the problem. I don't have a car, so Marcelo went to Home Depot to grab a new garbage disposal and a door lock for me, installed them, explained me how to properly use both and answered all my questions. It took Marcelo and his colleague about 25 minutes to replace the garbage disposal and a lock, which was not disruptive to my day at all. It's been about 2 months since then and everything installed by Marcelo is working perfectly. I will definitely hire MDA Painting and Handyman again for future projects I might have as they provide a high quality service for a reasonable price.

Marcello is outstanding. He is very courteous and he replies quickly to every communication, which is very reassuring and not typical. He definitely wants his customers to be happy. He asked me to check his work, explained what he did and he asked if I was pleased. His work is excellent and detailed, and he takes care to leave work areas meticulously clean. He’s friendly, mild mannered, thoughtful and professional. I had misplaced my keys and he stayed 30 minutes until he found them for me! That’s above and beyond. He finished the job a couple hours ago and I’ve already recommended him! He’s a keeper.

Remodeled most of the third-floor apartment at my house. Work was completed accurately and on time. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

I recently hired Marcelo for the second time in a year. He previously helped with a few odd jobs in my condo (attaching a cabinet door, fixing some pantry door closures) before I sold it, and (more recently) then he came out to my new home to repair a 6" round hole left behind after an electrician moved our lighting fixture, as well as to hang a new (heavy) mirror and towel hook. Both times, Marcelo was super responsive, on time, detailed in his work, very communicative and fair about price. He is also really neat and tidy - I never have to clean up when he's done working. I would absolutely recommend him and will definitely call him again when I am thinking about other projects around the house.

Marcelo Simoes showed up on time, gave an accurate quote, completely replaced my front steps and handrails, installed a new storm door, and cleaned up afterward... all in temperatures that were near freezing. The new steps and handrails are strong and super reinforced, and I no longer have fears that my disabled father will fall when he goes in and out of the house. Not only would I hire Marcelo again, I'm giving his card to my neighbors.
