Had slight misgivings going in but dismissed them due to the low estimate and my general apprehension about spending lots of money on home improvement. Big mistake on my part. Steve and his worker showed up, excavated site, and from there he kept finding more and more things that needed to be dealt with. I expect some level of unforeseen difficulties but this was pushed to the extreme. What started out as a $4000 job spiraled up to $11,580. Even worse, the change order duplicated several items listed on the original estimate. When asked about that, he admitted the error but then turned around and said the house needed to be jacked up. I terminated his services immediately thereafter.

We contracted with this company about 18 months ago. They performed the work over about a month. The owner repeatedly told us that his work would last 20 years, & that they did fastidious work. The original installation went reasonably well. I would have preferred that they did not unplug my freezer in the basement (causing everything to spoil) in order to use that outlet. They did find lots of items to charge for above and beyond the original estimate (ex: they charged us for the loam to fill in the edge of the new walkway). Although we were a bit put out by the incremental charges, we felt assured that we had received quality workmanship. About 4 months ago, the edges of the walk settled and some of the bricks in the center settled. We now have a spot in the walk with bricks falling behind the granite risers. I called the company 5 times before receiving a call back. They said that they would come out directly to deal with the problem, and it has been a month. So much for quality.
