I left my first message with Kevin and heard back from him within an hour. After describing the project he said he would stop by the next day to look at the area. Over the phone he gave a rough quote of $2,000. I got a proposal in the mail for $3,000 after leaving 3 unreturned voicemails for him. The $1,000 difference is extreme and though he didn't break down the cost it works out to be $2,500 in labor costs, $500 for materials. On the phone he told me it was a 2-3 person, 2 day job which works out to be $45/hour. Unprofessional and unreasonable costs. No thanks! FYI - I've gotten half a dozen quotes from local landscapers for the same project. All came in between $1,600 and $2,500. Clearly he was sending a message that he doesn't want small business by giving me the "go away" quote. He only wants big business despite the fact that he sent out advertising postcards.

They did maintenance throughout the summer. Every time I got an invoice, the prices increased with no explanation. I finally called them to tell them that if I did not get an explanation, then I was not paying for it. I have not heard from them for a year and a half.
