From start to finish, the entire experience was excellent.
We started scoping the project very late Fall, just before Thanksgiving. As we expected, the weather quickly became too cold to do roof work on. When we contacted Byrne again in late winter, he was easy to get a hold of and the existing quote still applied. As soon as the weather permitted, Byrne scheduled us in and the work was done in April. (This was the extremely bad 2014-2015 winter, any perceived delay was due to Byrne Construction)
The work was excellent quality and speedy. The job was 2 days from the first ladder to the last bit of cleanup. It was a two-man crew, and they demolished the old chimney to below the roofline; hauled away all debris; brought all materials; constructed the new chimney; flashed; and installed a new cap where the old chimney was missing one. The roof was due to be replaced, but even so, Byrne did an excellent job minimizing the damage to the existing roof and treated it as if the new roof may or may not happen. The rest of the house and grounds were entirely undamaged. They did an excellent cleanup job as well.
Additionally, Mr. Byrne is extremely pleasant to interact with, and the job was no trouble at all to us as homeowners. With the combination of quality, speed, price and customer relations, I would highly recommend Byrne Construction without hesitation.
