the sanding seemed ok but the finish isd far from satisfactory. when the job began I asked the foreman when I could move back into the house. he said in two days. two days later I returned to fine the door to the house unlocked and the finish on the floor very spotty. I called the company but got no answerand their message box was full so I could not leave a message. I began to put furniture etc back in place and finally in the early afternoon I received a call from the owner. He said he had not been able to put on the last coat of finish the day before because the floors had not dried sufficiently from the previous application. I asked why he hadn't called me the day before to let me know so I wouldn't move back in and he replied that he didn't think I was going to move back in on Wednesday, just come back to look at the job. He said he would come to the house in an hour to discuss the matter. TRhen he called and sdaid he couldn't come until an hour and a half after he said he would. Then he called to say he couldn't come until early the next morning. He never showed up at all.

Price was competitive with another quote, and Trong seemed friendly and capable, so we went with him. At first blush, floors looked really good. Closer inspection left something to be desired. Blistering in several places that I keep mistaking for dirt or water. We also asked him to countersink and putty over the many nails protruding from the stairs (they'd been carpeted). He did not do this - now the stairs are finished and we can see nails all over the place. Finally, we asked him to turn off the A/C and cover over the doorway leading to another part of the house to keep the dust down. If he did this, he didn't do it very well because there was a thick layer of dust everywhere. Overall I was frustrated with the quality of the work. Went back and forth with him (he didn't think anything was wrong with his work), finally told him I was knocking $200 off his price and he reluctantly agreed.

The floors look beautiful. After getting estimates from a total of three wood floor companies with similar prices we opted to go with Nat's. Right from the beginning Nat was courteous and understanding of our specific project needs. We wanted the areas in the closets and under the refrigerator done. He reassured us that he'd take good care of us and they delivered. His team was quick and left the house spotless. We're going to call them next year when we have all new hardwoods on the second floor put in.
