Molloy was excellent. First, the price was very reasonable for the scope of work performed. John worked with my budget and was very flexible. Second, the team that executed the work--mainly, Marianne and George--worked until dark on a couple of occasions to see that the work was done and done professionally. Finally, Molloy had a quality control person follow up with me to make sure each item on the quote was taken care of. I was, frankly, surprised by the level of follow up and quality control. This company clearly takes a lot of pride in its work and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They were okay.  They weren't the worst and they weren't the best either.  The price was right and the work was acceptable.  There was some delay when they first came out for the cleanup till the next time to put the mulch down.

I stupidly paid Molloy Landscaping in advance for the above work contracted in October 2012, as I was going to be in the hospital and wanted the work done while I was unavailable. They were supposed to come the following Friday.
Six weeks later, after making yet another call to ask about the work, they finally came and did the yard cleaning portion of the job - NO mulching or power washing. Shrubs were not removed.
No portion of my pre-paid fee was refunded. I would NOT hire Molloy landscaping under any circumstances.

Extremely disorganized outfit with poor and unreliable service.  I started using Molloy Landscaping a couple years ago and had a very pleasant experience - professional, quality work and reliable.  Last season it all fell apart.  They came very late in the spring and throughout the summer they missed our weekly lawn care 6-7 times.  When I'd call to inquire I would usually end up leaving a message or talking to one of several short-term receptionists and rarely heard back from anyone.  Twice they made up for the missed cut by mowing my lawn 2 days apart!  Most times they just didn't respond (I learned later that they had several gone through several receptionists).  I did finally ask for the manager (Frank) who did call me back to apologize but the service didn't improve.   He also offered to come out (not at a convenient time) but the service never did improve.  I then had to call them again in the fall to get them out to do my fall clean up (they simply stopped showing up).   More apologies.  I had also contracted for them to do gutter cleaning and they never did it and we had drainage issues this spring because the gutters were clogged. The clincher for me was getting a call from a new guy, Dave, the other night to see if I got my new contract (I got another call on my cell 2 days later from Beth with the same question).  I told Dave and Beth about the issues (he was unaware) and said I would like to meet with him to go through the yard and what needs to be done (we're having a lot of construction work done in our yard).  We set an appointment for the following Saturday.  25 minutes before the appointment, Dave called to reschedule because it was drizzling.  You have to be kidding me!!!   A landscaper who cant come out in a little drizzle?!  I had just returned (early to make the appointment) from walking my dog and it wasn't even raining!  He did call back to try to keep the appointment but by this point, I'd had enough.   Much easier to find a new lawn care company.  My understanding (unconfirmed) from the customer who referred me is that the founder, John Molly, is no longer involved and its simply not what it used to be.   Too bad...they used to be great.

Awful in nearly every respect. Routine tasks would drag on for weeks and require multiple phone calls from our end. System spring leaks at junction boxes after their work was conducted. They installed the wrong type of piping in conducting repairs (which they acknowledged) which sprung leaks again and then wanted to charge us for replacing their own faulty work. Revolving door of people coming to do work. Rarely arrived on time. Left the yard dug up with piles of dirt for a month while not showing up for appointments destroying a section of the lawn. Some zones still do not work. So bad it's almost laughable. Would never use again.

John Molloy is a nice man. He is not great at follow ups and doesn't always lay out a clear calender in terms of the work. His workers are all very professional and hard working. His company can handle all aspect of property maintenance and landscaping. Some companies do not maintain sprinkler systems; so, it is nice to have a company that can take care of everything.

His workers do a good job overall. However, very difficult to have the head guys come out to give an estimate for work, or get him on the phone to discuss work. Cancels or no shows frequently when trying to evaluate for a potential job.
