Matthew had the best bid with my preferred manufacturer. Unlike other plumbers who padded their bids with things I didn't need ("Work with gas company to upgrade gas line", line was already as large as needed) or already had ("install carbon monoxide detecter", I already have them everywhere!), Matthew bid on installing exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price. Installation went perfectly, with a slight change in the plumbing necessitated by a lower height (that was my fault for misquoting him on) being brought to my attention and altered for no extra charge. High efficiency condensing tankless water heaters are still relatively new and are even more complicated, and to complicated matters further I had him install a new dedicated recirc line along. Everything was done correctly the first time, and inspection was a breeze. When my tankless unit needs replacing in (hopefully) 20 years, he'll be the first company I call.
