Tiles By Perfection

The salesperson at the store was very helpful and friendly when we visited. We visited twice and called several times to discuss choices. We visited in early November 2015. We heard from our realtor (i.e. second hand info) that the provider was the cause of delay in finishing the new kitchen. The countertops and backsplashes weren't installed until late December 2015. We moved into the new condo in late January 2016 (originally scheduled for mid November). When we used the stove, we finally noticed that the backspash above the stove had one significant crack, several minor cracks, and the tiling was very uneven. We called the provider to ask if this could be repaired. The salesperson was very sympathetic but there was no follow-up. I called again about a week later. As a result of that call the manager or owner of Tiles by Perfection came to look at the backsplash. He agreed it needed some work and said he would be back to us with further information. There has been no follow up at all. There was also a very rough edge on one of the granite countertops. I did not bring this to their attention. The countertops and backsplashes look very nice from a distance but do not survive close scrutiny. I would not recommend this company due to shoddy workmanship and lack of follow-through to correct issues.

Their dock worker was late for work, missed the Daltile delivery which
was then left in the rain. The cardboard boxes got soaked, the stack
fell over, 25% of the marble tiles broke, the dock worker covered his
tracks by re-boxing them and taping them to look as if they'd come from
the manufacturer in pristine boxes. Not until installation date when we
opened the boxes did we discover broken tiles in undamaged boxes and
begin to ask questions. A few people "slipped up" and told us enough
details to figure out the above story. They wouldn't replace broken
tiles or provide a partial refund. We had to spend nearly double/box to
get a new box from another vendor to finish our project.
Despite having told us bits of the story and being unable to resolve the lie to prove they were without fault, they instead hid behind the "you're past 30 days with your complaint" excuse.

They did not show up on the day of installation, when I called the store, I was told the installer was playing golf on the cape.  I schedule 3 other days with them, but each one resulted in the installer cancelling.  They did finally show up to install the tiles on the 5th appointment.  Store staff and  manager were difficult to deal with and very rude.  End result, the tiles are still on the wall, but dimensions are slightly off, border tile is lower than requested, and the few accent tiles were placed in the wrong spots.  I would never do business with this company again.

The job went very well.  They were actually able to start a few days earlier that originally scheduled.  We had a tight budget and they were very flexible in working with us to create a plan that got as much done professionally as possible while we did a few things ourselves to save money.  The workers were all very nice and helpful.  The whole job was done in less than a week except for the vanity which we ordered seperately and took a long time to come in.  I also really liked that they had a retail location so if I had a question and didn't want to call I could stop by the shop and speak to someone in person.

They had a great deal of samples to look at.  The salesgirls were really helpful with matching tiles and countertops.  They were really wonderful.  Also, the guys that came to install were really helpful and very very nice to relate and talk to.  They explained everything clearly.

I shopped around multiple places in the Boston area for granite remnants for a vanity top for my bathroom.   Some of the quotes I was receiving were ridiculous.  My contractor mentioned this company so I called them and asked for their remnant stock.  They said I'd have to come down first thing on a Saturday and take a trip up to the yard.  I wasn't too thrilled at first that I'd be wasting a trip but once I got to their remnant yard they had tons of options.   The ladies in the office were very helpful and courteous.  The only knock against TBP is that I had a hard time getting a call back and had to bug them a couple of times to put in the order.  It wasn't a huge deal since I wasn't in a huge rush.  The top came out great and It didn't take long to fabricate.  I would highly recommend using them, they have a great selection and their pricing was about $100 cheaper than other alternatives.  

I DID A LOT OF SHOPPING, AND THEY WERE THE BEST PRICE, AND MOST EFFICIENT AND COOPERATIVE.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP THE DAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO START THE JOB. THEY DIDN'T EVEN CALL TO LET US KNOW OR RESCHEDULE. WE FINALLY HAD TO CALL THEM TO RESCHEDULE. THEY PERFORMED A VERY BAD JOB IN THE SHOWER, THE LAYOUT HAD NO SYMMETRY. SOME OF THE GROUT LINES WERE NOT DONE, THE TILES WERE SO CLOSE THAT THEY COULDN'T BE GROUTED. WE ASKED THEM TO REDO PART OF THE WORK, BUT THE RESULT WAS STILL VERY BAD. THEY DAMAGED OUR NEW TUB, AND DIDN'T EVEN ADMIT IT. AFTER FIGHTING WITH THEM, THEY FINALLY SENT SOMEONE TO FIX IT. OVERALL, THEIR PROFESSIONALISM WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK LOOKED LIKE AN AMATEUR'S WORK. WE WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN, AND DON'T RECOMMEND THEM.
