- * We were informed by the inspector that the electrical wiring to the newly upgraded box did not comply with standards. We paid a flat fee for Icor to make the modifications necessary. Necessary modifications were not made, the inspector signed of on the electrician's word (he did not visit) - so we paid for modifications not made.
- * The heating system wiring did not work. In November we found that we had no heat. We had to hire a third party to come out and fix it. We refused to pay until the system worked; Icor sued. They came out to the house, claimed to show that it worked, my wife refused to pay because she felt that he was bullying us (she was right, it still didn't work). The electrician started yelling, demanding his pay, calling her an "arrogant b****," a "f****** b****" in our home.
- * Basic up-grades, like install new 3 prong outlets, were done sloppily and stupidly. The electrician installed new 3 prong outlets beside the old 2 prong -so we had two different outlets in side by side.
- * He would agree to specific work, such as install 7 new breakers in the panel - and then we found that he inserted the word "about" in the agreement; he installed 4 breakers but insisted we owed him for 7.
- * He broke a window that we only knew about because we found it. He claimed it couldn't be fixed; it cost $27 to have it fixed; we deducted it from his pay.
- We finally paid him to get rid of him. After he filed a suit against us for non-payment he agreed to deduct the cost of fixing the heating system wiring from the final bill - so we paid him to get rid of him.
"WE ASKED THE CUSTOMER WHERE SHE WANTED THE OUTLETS AND WE PUT THEM THERE. AFTER WE LEFT THE CUSTOMER CALLED US AND SAID IT WAS AGAINST CODE, WHICH IT WAS NOT, SO WE TRIED TO KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY. SHE DECIDED TO PUT A STOP ON HER CHECK FOR ALL THE WORK BUT THEN WE CAME TO AN AGREEMENT THAT SHE WOULD PAY US FOR THE WORK THAT SHE WAS HAPPY WITH. WE MET HER NEEDS AND KEPT HER HAPPY BUT SOME PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO, YOU CAN'T MAKE THEM HAPPY. THIS PERSON WANTED THE WHOLE JOB FOR FREE BUT WE ARE NOT IN BUSINESS TO DO WORK FOR FREE THAT IS WHY SHE RATED US THIS WAY. BEST OF LUCK TO HER."
