These people are nothing more than scam artists. We just bought a home and the furnace was filthy, so we bought a Groupon to have them inspect and clean it. The servicemen first pulled up in front of our house in a position  directly blocking our neighbor's driveway and seemed to not care or notice; there is AMPLE street parking and our driveway was also available. When they entered the home, they brought no equipment, just a calculator and clip board. After walking around our basement, he announced that it was going to cost $1300 to "do the job". This after we paid for a Groupon. What makes them think that we were ready and willing to shell out an additional $1300? My husband explained that we weren't interested in additional services at this time, that we just wanted to have the furnace cleaned an inspected as we had asked for at the time of scheduling. At this point the employee's attitude completely changed and it was obvious they couldn't get out of there fast enough.
One of the guys then stuck the hose of a shop-vac into the furnace. They were in and out in under 15 minutes. The furnace is still absolutely filthy and looks as if no one had even looked at it, much less cleaned it out. 
Needless to say, we paid $40 to have someone come into our house and attempt to solicit us. Who PAYS money to receive a sales pitch?? On top of that, my husband took the morning off of work in order to be home during the service. Obviously they have no respect for other people's time and couldn't care less that their customers have to rearrange their schedules to be home...only to find out that no service will be done unless a good deal of extra, unplanned money is to be spent. Do not call them, unless you're looking for a gigantic waste of time.
