Door Service, General Remodeling
I contacted Pat based on a recommendation from my realtor. He responded quickly, came out to review the work that needed to be done. He researched options for both jobs and promptly provided estimates. The mailbox installation included replacing the 4 unit mailbox as well as the existing intercom system which were separate units and replacing them with an integrated unit. After deciding on what materials to use, Pat provided the estimates. He contacted me as soon as the materials were available and scheduled time to do the work. The mailbox was a somewhat complicated job but Pat worked with his electrician to get the job done and everything works perfectly. Pat was very professional. The cost was very reasonable and he was very accommodating.

Door Service
Pat came recommended to us via Dorchester Door and Window as a qualified contractor who could repair wood damage and replace our front entry Door. We contacted Pat by phone and he came out to our house to look at the job and give us an estimate. We agreed on a price and Pat said he could start within 2 weeks.
Pat was true to his word and showed up 2 weeks later with his assistant. They immediately pulled the front entry door out to get at the rotted wood beneath the door. The builder of the house had poured a concrete landing right up against the wood kickplate beneath the door and over a period of years this caused the trim, sheathing and joist ends to rot. They cut away all the rotted wood and then installed pressure treated wood and sheathing to the damaged area. They then sealed this with an Ice and water membrane and then flashed it up over the sub floor.
After repairing the damaged wood they installed the new entry door and lockset and then replaced the interior trim with new trim and replaced the wood trim on the outside with PVC trim. The door looks and performs better than the door that we had when we bought the house
I thought this was going to be a 2 day job and was very concerned that the damaged area get fixed correctly so that the rot would not re-occur. Pat did the job in 1 day and repaired the damaged wood in such a way that I am confident that the rot problem will not happen again
Pat and his assistant were professional, neat and detail oriented. I feel that I now have a contractor whom I can trust to do work around my house
