Carroll the Mover, Inc., established in 1930 is family owned and operated and still located at the same address. Our reputation means everything to us. We have a 2 hour minimum and charge the same rates 7 days a week. $70.00 for the truck and driver; $35.00 per additional man per hour, plus travel time and fuel. We offer professional storage at $50.00 per vault, per month. (5'x7'x7'= 245 cu. ft., each)

However, I am glad that, as the homeowner, I was on-site for the entire process and available to advise about not leaning on walls, care when dealing with framed art work, and the weight involved in certain items that were unsuitable for stacking. They had problems keeping a storm door open that a previous mover had no problems with. The Carroll movers did not seem to be used to working as a tight unit. They did not wear uniform-like attire.
Overall, for the type of items being moved and the comparatively lesser cost per hour, Carroll's was fine. I am not sure if I would book Carroll for an entire house, with my good furniture or big appliances.
