+ -1 moreTHE INSTALLERS HAD THE NECESSARY TECHNICAL SKILLS FOR THE WORK, BUT BECAME VERBALLY ABUSIVE WHEN I OR MY PROJECT MANAGER ASKED TECHNICAL QUESTIONS, OR POINTED OUT SEVERE DAMAGE DONE TO FRESHLY PAINTED WALLS & WOOD WORK. THE STORE OWNER,(JIMMY V. KEENAN) PROMISED TO RETURN & REPAIR DAMAGE BUT HAS YET TO DO SO OR RETURN MY CALLS. HE BECAME VERBALLY ABUSIVE & FOUL MOUTHED WHEN ASKED TO DELETE CHARGES FOR MATERIALS,(4 SHEETS CONCRETE BOARD)NOT USED FROM THE BILL. DIDN'T INSTALL METAL STRIP THRESHOLD BETWEEN NEW BATHROOM TILE FLOOR & HALL CARPET & HAD TO PAY ANOTHER FLOOR COMPANY TO COMPLETE JOB. REMOVED BATHROOM DOOR TO TRIM IT SO A THRESHOLD WOULD FIT PROPERLY, BUT NEVER ACTUALLY CUT THE DOOR & JUST REHUNG IT, 2ND COMPANY COMPLETED THIS TASK AS WELL AT COST OF $80. PAID PAINTER $200 TO PATCH, TOUCH UP & REPAIR WALLS DAMAGED DURING INSTALL. GOUGED WOOD WORK HAS YET TO BE REPAIRED. I'LL NEVER HIRE AGAIN. THEY HAVE THE SKILLS, BUT WERE JUST RUDE, WEIRD & ANGRY. I WAS TRULY APPALLED.
Description of Work: HIRED ACCESS FLOORING,(FORMERLY ACE FLOORING) TO INSTALL CARPET ON STAIRS AND 2ND FLOOR HALL OF MY HOME AS WELL AS LINOLEUM IN KITCHEN AND TILE IN BATHROOM. I SUPPLIED TILE AND LINOLEUM BUT PURCHASED CARPET FROM ''ACCESS''. ASKED IF THEY COULD INSTALL SLATE TILES IN FIRST FLOOR HALL INSTEAD OF CARPET & THEY AGREED BUT FOUGHT WITH ME OVER GROUTING THE TILES AND SAID IT WASN'T NECESSARY DESPITE THE GAPS AND OPEN SEAMS BETWEEN TILES. THEY FINALLY DID GROUTING, SCRAPED AND GOUGED WOOD WORK DURING TILE WORK AND PRETENDED TO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT DAMAGE, THEN ADMITTED TO IT, BUT NEVER REPAIRED IT AS PROMISED. TRIED TO CHARGE EXTRA FOR REMOVING TOILET AND VANITY FOR BATHROOM FLOOR TILE INSTALL. ORIGINALLY TOLD IT WAS PART OF JOB. PUT UP WITH SNIDE, 'WORKING CLASS HERO'' COMMENTS FROM LEAD INSTALLER WHO THOUGHT I WAS AN MIT PROF & GRADUATE. TRULY WEIRD & UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND I'LL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN! I DON'T ENJOY BEING CUSSED OUT IN MY OWN HOME OR PAYING FOR THE EXPERIENCE.
