Abble's Hardwood Floor Service is a stand up company. They were referred to us by our realtor when we purchased out house. Tom and Sonny came to give us an estimate and they were punctual and friendly. They left us that afternoon with a quote in-hand. Before we signed with them, we met with Sonny one additional time at which time he brought us more samples. This helped us decide what wood and finish we wanted. Sonny and his team showed on-time every time we had an appointment. He came prepared and was able to answer all our questions. They were able to work around our schedule (we had other contractors doing work at the house) and even worked weekends to get the work done. The work they did was fantastic. The fit and finish was everything I expected. The second floor of our house we did not remove the baseboards, but they made the cuts so close that the floors looked like they belong with the house. They also did a set of stairs. They removed the existing spindles and railing, installed the stairs and replaced the spindles and railings. The stairs are solid and beautiful. When finishing floors, there is sanding, when there is sanding there is dust. The dust in our case was kept to a minimum. There is no way to avoid it, but at least it was minimal. If I were to be critical of Abble's, I would have to say I was disappointed that the polyurethane they used appeared to have been store bought. I don't know enough about finishes to know if there is a better (professional) grade polyurethane. The other is our stairs turn, and one riser is much longer than the others. They had to join two boards end-to-end to make a long enough riser. I would have preferred a single piece, or the boards to be better joined. Every time we called Sonny, he picked up the phone, never went to voice-mail. Every time we called, Sonny was professional and made sure we got what we wanted. In the end, Abble's delivered a quality product, on-schedule and on budget. The initial estimate was the final cost, no over-runs or unexpected extras. We were very happy with Abble's Hardwood Floor Service, and would recommend their services to you.
