At first things went well. They spent three days on the apartment working about 8 hours each day and they were doing a good job. On the third day, the owner Richard Gadby asked for payment. I looked around the apartment and noticed that some work was not completed. I asked him to complete the work before I would pay him. He worked at it for 45 minutes and then asked me for payment again. He insisted that everything was done, but I looked around and saw it was not. I asked him to finish the work again. He worked for another half hour and then asked again to be paid, this time complaining that he was becoming late for his grandson's sports game. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Yet I could see that there was still work to be done to repair the lathe and plaster walls. Here is where I was a pushover and paid him, which I regret. Later my husband came home and flipped out about how much repair work was still left, especially in the bathroom. The next day Richard Gadsby called and said he would come back to finish the bathroom. Clearly he knew that he had not finished the job. He set up a time to come back to finish the work, and then called at the last minute to cancel. He promised to call back to make another time to finish but he never called and stopped returning my calls. In my opinion, he does not know how to correctly estimate how much time a job will take, and when a job takes longer than he anticipates, he will say whatever he can to get paid and leave you with the work unfinished.
Description of Work: Blueboard and plaster was applied over ceilings in three rooms and over two walls in the apartment. There were also many patches and repairs that were needed to the lathe and plaster walls of the apartment which was in a 1920's home.
