I relocated from Florida 4 years ago after living there 45 years. All my necessary resources in place. It has been a bit of a struggle replacing them. Fortunately I found Mike, Fiske Construction. They recently upgraded my back deck. BEAUTIFUL! Mike and his crew are considerate and professional. A pleasure to work with. A++++ will definitely use again.

Mike and his very efficient crew rebuilt our neighbors deck. We were so impressed with the workmenship, my husband and I decided to have Mike rebuild ours with new PVC decking, railing and privacy fence . All maintenance free! My project was to add a porch to the front of my antique house. I quoted the job out to 3 builders and found the prices all to be similar. Although Fiske Construction was very slightly higher I was impressed with the professionalism of the quote and Mike�s understanding of what I was looking for. I showed him a couple of pictures of the style I wanted and he immediately picked up the details that gave the look I wanted. Mike arranged for the permits and began work as soon as they were set. Mike�s work ethic is far better than many these days, he showed up early and worked hard all day, every day. I never felt that my job wasn�t his top priority. I added a couple of features during the construction , Mike gave me a very fair price on the additional work and arranged for the materials required. Mike is more than just a builder, he is a Craftsman. The fit, finish, and quality of the porch is top notch. I have had neighbors and strangers compliment me on what a beautiful porch and how it looks like it has always been there. It�s not an easy task to add to a house built in the early 1800�s and match the quality of workmanship and style for that period but Mike and his team nailed it, I could not be happier or ask for a single change for the entire project. If I need any building projects in the future I will definitely have Fiske Contruction do the work. Project: Remove old deck/build new deck. During the process much rot was found on the sun porch from which the old deck was removed (yikes!). Mike and Bill, following the Fiske Construction Motto, �The right way or no way�, restored the porch to better than original condition�new footings, supports, window frames, etc. They were extremely professional in their work; cleaning up scraps and raking the work area at the end of the day. Their attention to detail was evidenced by the comment of one of our neighbors, who, upon seeing the finished deck, exclaimed, �Wow, these guys built this as though they were building this for themselves."

We were very satisfied with the construction of our new deck. The end product is beautiful, The builders were professional and we look forward to having another project done by Fiske Company in the future.

What an amazing job. My wife and I love the deck. I drew up what I wanted and they put it together to perfection AND added in all the little things and details that make it special. I'm going to call Fiske next time I have anything to do that goes outside the DIY scope. Kudos.

Despite problems with permits and surveys which caused a significant change in timeline, we couldn't be happier with the end result. The deck was extremely well built, finsih trim work is excellent and once the permits were in place the work was completed extremely quickly.

Terrific. Michael arrived on time for all our appointments for planning. His work was of high quality, he cleaned-up well and was courteous at all times. I wish we had more work to give Mike during this slow economic time, but the house if fine right now. I would give Fiske Construction my highest recommendation.

We first contacted Mike Fiske to help us fix the main stair case that was failing in our 1840 house. Since we have lived here, we have been working on the house ourselves for the most part. We both have a pretty good working knowledge of what we wanted to be done to our house, and a good idea of how it should be done. Because of our jobs, we needed someone we could trust to do the job we wanted done. And we looked and looked. The house has great "bones" but needed extensive renovation to bring it up to where it needed to be. Mike Fiske started off repairing the stairway, and as he was getting that underway we had other questions for him:

shoddy workmanship with the tile on the floor...he left a cracked tile...told me he could not fix it, it would "just keep cracking"....also wanted white door trim and baseboard...he put up natural color...i pointed that out to him...he said he "couldnt paint it now cuz he's already nailed in the vanity" he thought i would want the woodwork to match the rest of my house....told me poor tile work cuz i have an old house and my bathroom floor is uneven....my house is only 15 yrs old. the bathroom looks better than before but i would not hire him again
