When I first called him, he immediately offered to come by my house. He stopped over the next day and was very prompt and professional. I explained that my father-in-law had become ill and my husband couldn't do the work in the basement alone, and we needed help with the sanding & mudding, but 95% of the drywall was already hung. Paul gave me some ideas about what they would likely do, said he would call his drywaller - whom he spoke very highly of - and that I should hear from his drywall guy within a few days. That was March 13th. On April 6th, I finally had a day off and I called Paul, thinking to leave him a message asking him to call me back. To my surprise, he answered. I told him I'd never heard from his drywaller, and asked if I should assume they didn't want my business. He agreed, saying if they were going to do it I would have been contacted by now. Shocked, I asked if he could have TOLD me that, and he responded with, "Did you call me on a Sunday afternoon to criticize me?" Again shocked, I asserted that I had called to leave a message, and didn't expect him to answer his work phone on a Sunday. We hung up. I don't feel like it's too much to expect to be called and told he's changed his mind and isn't go to work for me, that's just common courtesy. And if you don't want to get business calls on the weekend, don't answer the phone! For somebody who says on his website "We set ourselves apart from the rest by treating you the way we like to be treated, like family and friends," I expected better manners. I will never call him again, and strongly urge others to do the same.
