Strange that he charged for tool rental and truck dispatch. Kept saying how low his labor rate was and that gas for the truck and tools cost money. Labor rate was $80/hr, and didn't seem that low to me. This is a rental home, so I don't have that much first-hand information, but I tried to be careful on costs and quotes. To receive a bill for almost 50% higher cost was startling. Does it really take two plumbers 3 man hours to replace a toilet? I negotiated this bill down to $300, but he told me to call someone else next time.
