Came to house to ensure measurements would work, actually came by several times to see the space and make sure ideas would work.
Was at the house to receive and inspect products as they came off the truck.
Bill and his wife assisted us in deciding on flooring as well. They offered opinions and took into account the colors and styles that would complement our cabinets.
Experience was so good that I expect to go back to him for a large carpet purchase as I finish my complete house remodel.
Was nervous about past reviews and negative comments but decided to talk to him and it paid off.
Here are the facts:
Bill designed and provided the cabinets for us.
Bill recommended a carpenter who works out of his shop to install the cabinets. We met him, liked him, and agreed.
The carpenter who we met was not available when our cabinets arrived form the factory.
Bill recommended a different carpenter. Said this man was "as good as (the guy we met)"
We believed Bill and agreed to hiring this unseen contractor
From day one, this new contractor was unprofessional in conduct and lacked the skills of a finish carpenter
I complained to Bill.
Bill said the project was not finished. To wait until it is finished.
It didn't get better. It got worse.
Bill defended this contractor work, which was clearly sub par.
Bill never came to check the work for the carpenter he vouched for.
Bill offered to send the carpenter out to fix it.
Me, not wanting this hack back in my home, decline Bill's offer and fixed the errors myself.
Bill's stance is that because he offered to "make it right" and I declined that I have no right to complain. I understand that just a little. But Bill's refusal to acknowledge any responsibility for "selling" us a bad carpenter is just unacceptable.
Kitchens, Floors and More is a good group of guys. Bill is undoubtedly talented and has a good eye for kitchen design. Just be wary of the small details when you get into bed with him and the guys he recommends.
