I regret hiring them! The only reason I chose your company was for peace of mind, thinking that I would get the work done properly, with professionals who care about quality and customer satisfaction. This did not happen!

Absolutely the worst possible service you could possibly receive from a contractor they no call no showed. They gave you a five day plan. Did not complete for a month and a half and still did not complete because they did not put back what they put took out toilet, paper holder, towel, bar, horrible, horrible service.

The owner is rude, condescending, threatening. She made promises to redo a lot of mistakes & refund for items and services I did not get. Only to then conveniently ignore those promises, not refund for services not given, and at the end tried to add $8000 to the bill claiming at one point I had to meet them part way because they were not making a profit on this job. I am only holding back payment of $1400 of this very very expensive job. I was told it was expensive because I lived in a historic building and the plumbing was going to be a very expensive. Then later tried to make me pay again for that difficulty! This project has gone on for more than a year. I didn’t hear back from anyone in 4 months. threaten to put a lien on condo. Still unresolved: Electrical issues, damaged washer, shower scratches, doors don’t shut., water damage, No ventilation, threw away custom heat cover, reimbursements needed for item returns/not received.

The company and its contractors were professional, courteous.? However when we were sold the product, we did not see the actual product, but were shown pictures by which to make product selections. I guess it was our fault, we didn't ask for more. The pictures were not close up pictures of the product, but of the rooms at a distance. The quality of the product is POOR. We thought we were getting actual tile for the wainscotting and flooring. Instead?on the walls we got acrylic that looks like thin plastic and less than what you could buy at a do it yourself store.? On the floor I don't know what we got. It looks like cardboard. We wanted a thin decorative accent for the floor but what we got was something that looks like sticky tape or design electrical tape. We should have been shown samples. The only items we were really pleased with was the tub and the sink. The quality of the product, and now our bathroom, looks cheap, and after spending a significant sum, we will need to spend more to achieve a decent looking bathroom. The lighting mount was done before the actual bathroom sink was put in, and as a result, the lighting and mirror are not perfectly aligned with the sink. Buyer Beware.

We just had Bay State Re-bath come and do our main bathroom and could not be happier!!!  When we first moved into our house years ago, we ended up going with glazing the tub and it literally started peeling after a week and it just got worse and worse.  The entire process was seamless - every person I had contact with from the company was great - and it was so easy and quick the day of the actual install.  They came on time, did not leave a mess and were great to work with throughout the day.  The finished product looks amazing and people that have seen it cannot believe it is not real tiles!!!  The bathroom looks great and we could not be happier with the choice to go with Bay State Re-Bath rather than other options out there!

.  We scheduled an appointment in June for a salesman to discuss options.  Out bathtub and fixtures were original it showed signs of wear and tear after 45 years of use.  He arrived on time and explained the history of rebath and how they work. He was very thorough and wanted to explain exactly how it is done.  I liked and appreciated the transparency.  We then went over all of our options, from the new walls, to fixtures, doors or a curtain, shelving, (we chose a curtain, ceiling options, tub options and so on.  We also added in two safety bars.  He went in and measured and gave us a price.  We put down a deposit and was told we'd get a call to schedule the install in 3-5 weeks.  about 4 weeks later, we get a call saying our materials came in and when would be a good time to do the install.  We set up the day.
On install day, the Plumber and installer arrived on time, about 9:00-9:15.  the plumber explained what he needed to do (namely installed a new drain as the old drain would not fit) which necessitates cutting of the ceiling in the basement.  He was very neat and careful and only took out when he needed to get the work done.  I do need to path a hole around the new drained but it is a small one.  The installer was very precise and methodical and worked his tail off.  He was here easily for 12 hours and even worked with me to figure out the best placement for the safety bars and the shelves.  When it was all done, he cleaned up and we settled up.
The work was very well done, There was one other issue.  Some of the tiles lifted when the old tub was removed, but he saved them all and I was able to replace them.  Couldn't be helped as there was some old cement and grout, but he was careful not to lose anything I might need.  I did replace them and I will be sealing them as soon as the grout cures.
Be aware that it is a disruptive process.  They needed my driveway and the hallway to the bathroom, but they are careful and as they say, it is only for one day. So for a day of inconvenience, you get a new tub and shower.  All in all that is not bad. If you have just one bathroom, make plans, but otherwise they do work to make the inconvenience as minimal as possible.
They aren't just for old people anymore!
I would gladly do it again.  The new shower is very nice and the tub  really is a big improvement, especially since it has a texture and makes for a very sure footing.
One thing, I highly suggest that anyone doing this to get safety bars if at all possible.  Even if you are young and able bodied, anyone can slip and these bars make it easier to either prevent a fall or help you in the case you do lose your footing

Our installation experience was quite favorable.  The Re-Bath crew was on-time and very professional.  This was especially true of Roger, who worked tirelessly to get the project done and had to contend with an inflexible building inspector from Malden that delayed the project.
Re-Bath promised a two-day installation time.  This turned out to be seven days, but only due to the Malden building inspector's inflexibility and "inability" to return to reinspect before the 4th of July holiday.
This review would award 5 stars across the board for this experience; the only complaint I might offer is inconsistency between the sales presentation and final product.  During the sales presentation, we were given the impression that all old tile would be removed.  In reality, only a limited amount of tile was removed from just above the old bathtub and to perform minor repair to the drywall (actually replaced it with plywood).  The sales presentation even included a video which showed a representative installation which included removal of all tile and installation of new drywall.

The work done and the people that did the work were fine.  They were fine to work with.  All the guys that were here were very courteous and clean.  The service is not complete yet and so I’m still waiting for it to get done.
Response from Bay State Kitchen & Bath
"Hi [member name removed], Hope everything is still fantastic with the shower! Anytime we do a custom shower like yours the shower needs to get demoed before we can produce a true stud to stud measurement - Which leaves the shower unusable for about 2 months while we wait for the base to be produced. It's a long time but its perfectly normal for that style shower"

The plumber came first and did all the reconnections for the faucet and tub. The carpenter came and broke up the tub and got that out of there. When they put the new tub in, it started to buckle any time you stepped in it. They called their boss (Jennifer) and she told them to cut the floor joists to make the tub fit (which seemed outrageous and dangerous to me). I was not going to agree to that, so they put shims under the tub but on top of the floor joists, which was ok. At that point the carpenter said that he was going to come back the next day. I told him I really needed him to finish today, and he agreed to finish it and had a good attitude about it. Meanwhile the plumber was in the basement and called the carpenter down. I heard part of their conversation (which was basically was that they were having some sort of major problem). They told me that the water temperature was too high (112 degrees). The plumber's solution was to run the hot water for at least ten minutes so that all of the hot water would be gone, thus bringing the water temperature down. At this point they were supposed to call the Watertown plumbing inspector. I didnt hear anything for a few days. I called Re-Bath and they said that they would call him again. Two days later I still hadn't heard anything so I called again. Finally, I did have the the plumbing inspector out and he was doing some tests and found out the temperature was spiking all over the place (as much as 145 degrees at times) What the inspector found out was that the other plumber had broken the "Anti scald mixing valve". This is a $545 valve and it was obviously broken by the plumber from Re-bath. I called Jennifer, the owner at Re-bath, and told her what happened and what was broken. She basically just told me that her plumber would never do something like that and is refusing to acknowledge that it was her people that broke it.
Response from Bay State Kitchen & Bath
"Remodeling bathrooms in older homes sometimes requires additional structural repairs in order to eliminate any noises that may arise when a cast iron tub is removed and the structure is disturbed during the demolition phase. We offered this customer the option of having the floor joists REPLACED in order eliminate a small squeak that was observed after the tub was secured and plumbed in. The customer declined that added work, which would have involved a building permit and additional fees. 112F is the code limit for the temp on a tub/shower valve and that is the temp that was reached by our licensed plumber when the job was complete. This client has a “tankless” hot water system, which often has wide fluctuations in temperature until the system is run for a few minutes. When the plumbing inspector checked the temp it had those fluctuations, and he recommended the customer make updates to the valve on that system to eliminate those fluctuations. Neither the customer nor the inspector ever notified Re-Bath that the inspector had made that recommendation. If we had been made aware we would have gladly performed the service, for an additional fee. Re-Bath performs bath remodeling services and while we are operating with our own staff of licensed plumbers, we do not routinely change heating system components, unless there is a change order generated to perform that work. I did tell the customer I was sorry to hear that her heating system required additional work and the related expenses. Jennifer Bylo President Bay State Re-Bath"

We had work done twice on our unit and once on my sisters unit. The first time in April/May, 2013, we had our bathtubs replaced, and the enclosures. We own a duplex with my sister and she also had her bathroom remodeled. The only issue we had the first time was that we did not get the bathtub that we ordered because the salesman measured the bathtub incorrectly. The company ended up giving us a smaller bathtub than we ordered. If we did nor settle for the smaller bathtub we would have to wait a month for the correct bathtub, and since our bathtub was removed we would not have had a bathtub, so we had to compromise.
The second work we had done was in July. We had our tiles replaced and wainscoting done as well as our medicine cabinet and the light fixture over the medicine cabinet. When the salesman came my husband  told him he would add an electrical outlet in the bathroom, that is the only conversation we had about electrical work.
When the installer Jeff (who was wonderful) came he was pleasant and polite and did a great job. The day before the medicine cabinet went up a gentleman who was at our home told my husband the electrician would be at the property to install the light fixture over the medicine cabinet at 8:00 am the following day. Early the following morning a Dennis called and stated that we had to pay to have the electrical work done because it was not a part of our contract. I pointed out that was not discussed. The salesman discussed with us that they would replace anything they took down and that he would make a note that we would be purchasing a new and smaller medicine cabinet and light fixture at his suggestion(Husband not happy with the smaller cabinet).
Jeff the installer showed me that he had paperwork where the salesman wrote that he told us they would not do any electrical work. After much discussion a Jennifer told me that she would send a Dennis over and that she would eat the cost of the electrical work. This entire incident made them seem dishonest. One day someone told my husband that the electrician will be at the house at 8:00 am and they called at 8:00 am to say its not a part of our contract???
Dennis came by later on and my son opened the door for him. My son greeted Dennis who responded, but he marched right by my husband and I sitting on the couch and completely ignored us. My husband then greeted him. We could feel the anger emanating from him. We where uncomfortable with him in our home. I sent an email to the company while he was at our home about his rudeness and I was not really a people person(Maybe he is in the wrong job) Once the work was completed and Jeff was ready to collect the balance of the payment, somehow he did not have a record that we had made a deposit of $1700. We also checked our cute little folder with our copies of the paperwork from the salesman which was all NCR paper. We DID NOT have a copy of that hand written note that stated that Re-Bath would not do any electrical work. We still have to check that we where not billed twice for the deposit. I sent the company an email about the paperwork that was not a part of our file that we did not have a copy of, and they have not responded. Once again it made them seem dishonest.
We had an issue with the medicine cabinet and the lights not been level and we called the office and Dennis came back still not a pleasant man. They came back two weeks later after I sent an email to remind them about the issue and by then my husband made the correction. We also had an issue with a hole in the grout and a few other grout issues. We where not notified, they just showed up at the door before 8:30 am on Friday. My sister had an appointment with them to come and replace her shower head that lasted less than two months and after repeated requests by my husband and an email that I sent(They made an appointment and canceled it the week before)
My sister's appointment was between 12:00 - 2:00 pm on Friday the ninth of August. They asked if they could come at 11:00 am and she told them that she would like to be there and that she will be heading home after working an over night shift, so that was not possible. At about 8:20 am my husband came home from work and saw Jeff outside waiting because we did not have an appointment. I had to get ready for work and did not plan to have my bathroom worked on today.  I was not aware of appointment for 12 noon for my sister. Once again the company was sneaky and dishonest by showing up without making an appointment for my unit and by having the installer telling me he had to go over and replace her shower head almost four hours before her appointment, knowing that she said she would not be home. If I had known, I would not have violated her privacy by letting a representative from the company into her unit. Also not only did she want them to replace the broken shower head she wanted to point out a hole in the tile work.
When my sister arrived home and found out what happened, she called the company and expressed her dissatisfaction at having her privacy violated, Sue started to laugh at her no doubt feeling victorious that they pulled one over on her by showing up four hours early and getting an appointment that was declined. That sneakiness necessitates them having to return to assess/repair the tile work.

started going bad the day after I signed the contract when I got calls for simply things like measure this or that. original time to delivery was missed by 4 weeks then the real problems started when the workers showed up and wanted to perform floor installations without the agreed upon washboard removal; did not have the correct toilets; the custom counter tops we not custom but rather stock sizes which left half inch gaps on both ends by the walls and I couldn't refuse them because of fine print. They do baths / plumbing for a living and yet never informed me about new building standards that cost me an additional $1000. The new showers were installed so sloppy that the silicone glue they use is all over the adjacent walls making latex paint bead up and not cover it. Had to sand the walls down to take off the paint and silicone. Both tub faucets broke within 6 weeks of normal use and they tried to tell me my water pressure is high.

Instalation went fine. Financing was not as promised. Lifetime warrantee on parts labor is only good if you can get them to come back. Door magnets, sweeps all falling off. Caulking in one bath is completely detached. I've gotten the run around for 7 months. Owner says if not properly cleaned all warranties are un enforceable. Have cleaned units with prescribed methods and permitted cleaners, as well as sent pics.

The final outcome was professional and very satisfactory - the price was fair.
Notwithstanding the outcome the process was flawed. This is why, having had the experience, i would look elsewhere before making a final decision and i would have placed performace criteria on the agreement.
We gave a $2600 deposit on February 1 - by the end of Mrch i called to complain about the delay. They were finally scheduled for the first week of April. The failure of Re-Bath to keep intouch with us shows a lack of respect for the customer (or poor business practice).
Even though the final job was terrific - we didn't appreciate the lack of support
Second - and most important - one of their techs was constantly trying to up sell us to additional services. Jon told my wife that we should get rid of our (relatively new) sliding glass dors. When she told him that the sales guy told us that it would be no problem, Jon told her "sales guys lie to get the sale." I confronted Jon and told him if he could get the slidings door frame back on then Re-Bath will have to pay for it. He said "i only said that it might be a problem."
A day later he offered to sell me a new bathtub (ours was 4 years old) at a discount. I asked what was wrong with teh tub and he said "nothing but i'm offering you a deal." I told him to shut up and do his job and that i didn't want to hear anymore deals. He did a very good job. I'm sure that Jon does thids on an ongoing basis -maybe he gets a spiff for it.
I sent a copy of this review to the Re-Bath coordinator, along with my comments about Jon. That was 3 days ago. I have not heard back from her - so i assume that i'm in a long line of folks that have compalined.
Finally - Re-Bath did a very professional job on th bathroom. However the lack of accountability of the company vis a vis
us and i frankly get ticked off by techs who try to up sell customers. It is UNPROFESSIONAL
YOU make the choice. For me I'm sure that there are other providers that can deliver a quality job

Our tile walls began to fail and leak after 43 years, and we wanted to change the tub color in the process.
Exploring in detail multiple options, including removal and replacement of the tiled walls and tub,
we opted to go with ReBath, specifically because of the quality of their product.
Even though we changed our minds with the color that we chose after replacing the tile floor,
ReBath of Massachusetts worked with us, and were very patient and helpful in assisting us with our final choice.
The installation went flawlessly, and the installer took great pains to make everything absolutely perfect.
I would heartily recommend this fine company.

The project did not go well, it took over three months from start to finish.  We signed a "contract" at the beginning of August with the salesman telling us that it would take about four weeks to complete the project from the installation start date.  Several days later the installer and the plumber arrived to review the site and go over the job.  This is when the problems started - their work order was missing several items that were included in the estimate.  We spoke to the salesman that evening whereupon he told us he "didn't remember" this work  (installing toilets and faucets in additional bathrooms) and since it wasn't written in the contract, ReBath wouldn't be doing the work. We questioned the salesman's competency/honesty with ReBath office personnel which subsequently led to a meeting with the owner of the franchise who straightened things out with the comment that the salesman does not do well with contracts and paperwork.
An installer and two plumbers arrived early on September 4 to start the project.  After about an hour, water started running through the kitchen ceiling below the bathroom.  It turned out that one of the plumbers carelessly did not completely close a shut off valve before cutting water pipes under the vanity.  Plaster came down and there were several large water stains on the ceiling.  Someone from the office assured  us they would send someone to repair the damage.  The installer said someone else would have to come at a later date to install the exhaust fan as he couldn't do it.  This turned out to be a good thing as it provided the chance to closely inspect the new exhaust fan which turned out to be a less expensive model than the one for which we paid. - more bad paperwork?
It was several more weeks before they sent people to install the correct exhaust fan and repair the ceiling.   The ceiling was patched and paint touched up but looked so bad, the entire ceiling had to be painted again - this took numerous phone calls and more weeks.
There were several problems with shower enclosure parts missing and incorrect parts causing further delays.
