It was a big undertaking, and they did a good job on it.  We were in sort of a difficult situation since I'm pregnant, and wanted the job done while we were away on vacation.  Jim shifted some things around, and managed to get almost all of the painting done while we were out of the house.

They did a great job, there were a few issues with things the previous owner had done and Jim had some good ideas of how to fix those issues, his creativity was appreciated.  After being told by one person that it would take approximately 4 hours to prep the hallway (which didn't seem realistic), Jim and his guys spent several days patching, and patching, and patching (horsehair plaster amongst other issues) to make sure the walls looked smooth.  The results are great!  The bedroom looks so much better than it did before, it's wonderful to spend some time in it and no longer notice all of the issues with the walls and ceiling.  Jim can also help find other people to do jobs (like an electrician when our other one fell through), which is a nice bonus.  We plan on having him come out and fix some water damage caused by ice dams this winter soon.

We had a very good experience with Swick Painting.  We solicited a number of other bids for the painting of our newly constructed porch.  Jim was very responsive in providing a detailed estimate and very amenable to some small changes for additional items we hadn't initially planned on.  We chose his company as the best compromise on cost, which was very competitive, and fast timing for initiating the work before our summer holiday.
The job was started and completed within the scheduled time frame, which was very commendable given some unplanned for summer rainstorms and our upcoming vacation plans.  Jim and his crew were very polite and easy to deal with.  They discussed all the materials to be used with me beforehand and kept us well informed on the details of the work as it progressed.  We were also happy to see he was accommodating for a few small changes that came up during the process.  The quality of the work was excellent and partway into a harsh winter now 6 months after the job, we've had no issues at all.  The color match to the existing paint on the house was not quite as exact as I'd hoped, but this is likely difficult given the fading of the existing yellow paint on our siding.  Jim was also conscientious about showing a sample of the paint to us prior to applying, which we approved, so we can't say we weren't well informed.
All in all, very satisfied with Swick painting.  They did a very good job within a very competitive timeframe for what we considered a great price.  I would definitely recommend Swick Painting to others.

The job could not have gone any better. Jim, Matt, John & Ahmed were professional, communicative, on time, respectful & neat. They always cleaned up after themselves at night before leaving. The job ran 10 days more or less. Jim is a perfectionist so everything was done perfectly to his very high standards. I have already given his name & number to several friends & plan to have him come back to remove wallpaper then paint 4 bedrooms as well as the exterior of my house. I may also have him paint/transform the awful formica cabinets in my kitchen. His prep work is outstanding - covered furniture with plastic,covered my wood floors with paper, & had sticky plastic covering for my carpeted stairs. Never used a dirty drop cloth like most painters do so rugs, floors & furniture are spotless. I would trust him & his workers to be in my house alone, something that I rarely do these days. I would rate him AAA if I could!

They scrapped/sanded off the old paint, caulked, primed and painted. Quality job, no complaints.

I cannot say enough good things about Jim and his crew. They did an outstanding job -- simply outstanding. The place looks incredible! Our residents are thrilled with the quality of the work. Jim also went above and beyond by painting a section of stair case that we did not originally discuss as well as accommodating our needs to paint an additional section of the stair risers on the main stair case so we were adequately prepared for our new carpeting installation. The entire crew Jim, Paul, Ed, and Matt were incredibly skilled painters and friendly and comfortable to have around the building for the week. At the end of each day the place was left neat and tidy and they were all back each morning bright and early to continue working. They were also mindful of what parking spaces were available for them to use so as to not inconvenience our residents. Our condo association has been planning for this major building transformation for over 7 months and the painting phase was pivotal in the overhaul of our historic federal period building. The painting done by Jim and his crew was better than we could have even imagined. It has certainly transformed our stately building. We are already getting estimates from Jim for additional work in our building! Thanks Jim!!!

He's the only painter that I use and he does an amazing job. The cost depends on what he's doing. He's very competitively priced and very fair with his price as well. So I wouldn't even speak to anyone else. He's the only contractor that I've hired, who has been here multiple times and he's never let me down. His price depends on the project. The owner Jim comes out and he's extremely professional. He's got an excellent group of people that work with him and that have been with him. They're all trust worthy and very respectful of my property inside and out. He's the only contractor that I've ever used and I would recommend without hesitation. I will absolutely use him again in the future.

Considering that it was in the highest demand of painting season, the turn around time from estimate to painting was quite fast. Jim problem solved some early issues we hadn't foreseen without adding to the cost of the job, which I did appreciate. The job was done professionally and quickly. I have only two minor complaints: 1) I think he should have done more caulking which was in the contract and 2) the cleanup could have been more thorough. I'd say that I got my money's worth- no more no less.
