Saulnier Wood Floors

Very professional, but quality not as advertised. Some gaps in the finish; small curly hairs left in the finish and sawdust left in between the floor boards in places. Would have preferred to pay less for this quality, or pay more for the quality we were after.

Beautiful work

We had Paul and his team install new hardwood in our living room and refinish our dining room. We were so pleased we had him install new hardwood in our kitchen. Paul is excellent to work with - accommodating and flexible. The work his team does is outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Paul and would recommend him to anyone

They did the most amazing job!!! I am super particular( dare I say Picky) but know what good quality work is. They were fantastic and left the house perfect. The floors were insanely smooth and perfect. I would and am going to highly recommend them to all I know and anyone can get in touch with me.

Performed the job within three days. Carefully sealed off other areas with plastic sheets to keep dust out. Came at arranged hours, applied coats within two days. Performed an excellent job.

Easy to coordinate Saulnier's work with our painting contractor that was renovating the rest of the dining room.  Very good installation service.  Made additional repairs to subfloor which had sustained some wear over the years with prior owner/s.  Careful and quality work on transition to tile floor on one entrance to room, and carpeted floor on the other.   Owner rectified a problem with a mistake in the product as shipped to the worksite, and issued a reasonable price credit to compensate.  Did not affect the appearance of the new floor, when all things considered. 

Paul Saulnier, the owner was our first contact with the company.  He spent the time with us making sure we chose the right product for our situation.    We went with Mirage Red Oak prefinished flooring (Paul's recommendation),  which after my research I discovered to a top of the line product.  The installers were courteous, caring, clean, and professional.  They always showed up when they said they would and stayed as long as it took each day to complete the job on schedule.  The floors and staircases came out flawless and look beautiful.  This company really knows what they are doing.  They have been in business for quite some time and have a great reputation in the area.  I have heard this from other contractors. 

They did great work on the staircases one of which had a turn in it.  The installer must have a good knowledge of geometry because the fit is perfect.

In the basement which has special considerations when installing a wood floor, Paul explained to me the product used as a vapor barrier and as a glue is state of the art.    The wood which he recommended is a Mirage engineered hardwood product to withstand any expanding or contracting.  This floor is bowling alley beautiful and has added to the value of our home as it looks like an example of craftsman finished furniture.

I would highly recommend this company for any of your flooring needs as they do a great job and stand behind their work.  You will not be disappointed.

I had originally hired another company to do my floors but they were terrible. I hired Paul to finish the work, and it is perfect! His employee Sil and his son did the work and although it took a little longer than anticipated, the floors are perfect. They hand cut each piece and I could not be happier. Paul was also great with the hours of labor and billing and was more than happy to go above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly.

Did an excellent job on new floor installation.  Worked around our schedule.  Initially made a mistake on the stair treads but came back the next day and fixed the problem.  Project came out great.

I was very pleased with the work Saulnier Wood floors did in installing new wood floors in my home. They took out the existing flooring (wall to wall carpet), installed a (necessary) new subfloor, and installed and finished the hardwood floors we selected. It was an involved project as it turned out, but Paul and his staff were consistently professional, helpful and responsive. I liked the fact that my husband and I were able to view samples in a showroom and talk through several different options for flooring in a relaxed setting with Paul. His significant experience in the field certainly was evident in all of our interactions.
I'd certainly recommend Saulnier Floors to others, and would also use them again for future projects (such as future refinishing of our new floors). We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Paul was awesome!  Showed up on-time to put together an estimate, and was thoroughly responsive at all times.
He understood exactly what we wanted done, and did it as planned.
His bid was the second-lowest, but we felt more comfortable with him than with the lowest bidder.
Would absolutely use him again.

Paul and his crew installed hardwood floors throughout the upstairs of our house and on several of our stairs.  Paul was great about working me through the wood choice options including staying later at their showroom so that I could get there after my work day.  The actual installation took longer than predicted but the crew was great about minimizing the disruption to our lives.  We have an old house with uneven floors and walls.  They handled the challenge well.  My only criticism was that they made a fairly big nick in one of the door frames where the floor meets it.

When he was preparing the quote, Paul said he'd make our 24-year old floors look new - and that's exactly what he did. His team was professional and the cost for re-finishing about 1,000 sq ft was reasonable. We're very pleased with the results.
